I can't help but feel personally burned by the Claude Code changes announced today. We put so much work into wrapping the (atrocious) Claude Agent SDK in T3 Code. It was the ONLY path they supported, so we made it work. It was hell. Now our users are getting their rate limits cut by 40x, despite us doing everything right. I listened to the Claude Code team. I had my issues with their direction, but I trusted them and took them at their word. I will never make that mistake again. Until we see significant change, it is safe to assume any statement from an Anthropic employee is a lie on a timer. The rug will be pulled, no matter how many promises are made beforehand.

I think the EU had similar concerns with Hungary as well. Still, in my view, the biggest advantage is that we’re ultimately stronger together. Happiness is relative, after all. I noticed you recently visited Cluj-Napoca. I’d also love to invite you to Craiova. I could show you firsthand how much my hometown has changed before and after joining the EU. The most performance critical part of Reanimated engine is now moving to the RN core. This way unlocking new possibilities and optimizations that wouldn't be possible from a third-party library perspective. Great work @BBloniarz_ and team!

New Animation Backend React Native 0.85 introduces a preview of the Shared Animation Backend, built in collaboration with Software Mansion. This is a new internal engine that will power both Animated and Reanimated. It expands first class native animation support in core, and unlocks even faster native performance for Reanimated. This is an experimental feature and will be available in 0.85.1 (shortly).

@aleqsio Interesting approach. I have some questions though: What if native dependencies change on multiple worktrees? How can that work with only one native app? How can it handle 10 worktrees at once? What if I work on multiple projects with different apps?

It's like a mutex, but for simulator access. ➡️ You just run a single native app to keep things fast. ➡️ Agents develop PRs using worktrees, and can test changes effectively without ever conflicting. ⚠️It's still an MVP – let me know your feedback!
