The River, Gen and The Queen are set in Gauteng, so diversity is pretty much expected there. Skeem Saam is set in Turfloop, Limpopo and this where it all began. Scenes of Jozi came in a bit later and were not primary focus of the show. Not sure what you are not understanding with this.

People are critical of #SkeemSaam for its diversity but overlook the fact that shows that endured and stayed in our hearts were able to reflect South Africa's many faces, in many tongues and lived realities. Turfloop and its people are still the heartbeat of Skeem Saam and will always be.
