Due to an update, the Ubisoft Connect launcher and the Ubisoft API are now broken on Linux desktop and Steam Deck. Thanks @Ubisoft Please open as many support requests to @UbisoftSupport , show them that Linux gamers are here and are not leaving.

Thankfully, not everything is broken. It's still possible to lauch Ubisoft Connect with lutris-wine-7.2. If you're using the git version of Lutris, you can also use Proton Experimental. If you're using the Ubisoft integration in Lutris, do not log out/refresh your Ubisoft library

@JamesFl96793695 1. Install Wine with your package manager, doesn't matter which version. This will provide necessary dependencies for Lutris. 2. Run lutris in a terminal with lutris -d and try to see if you got some specific errors about fetching runtime components (such as HTTP timeouts)

@LutrisGaming currently stuck at checking for runtime update page when opening. said something about missing wine or another on one try. i can close out of it while its still checking for update and it opens but it cant open any installed games

@Blindripper85 @EmergentsTCG The fix is needed because Ubuntu provides Lutris 0.5.9, right? The PPA or the deb provided on Github are up to date and provide the patched version.

We've seen the feedback on the 3.4 SD card mount path breaking pre-existing non-Steam shortcuts. We'll roll back the change to USB auto-mounting from 3.4 and and defer it until 3.5 in the new year, to give software some time to adjust to the new standard path.
