@ZanderWhitcroft @dtomquick No, hell, even back in ARR, Minfilia will bring up several times you call some adventurer friends for trials and stuff, think only the duty version of Ifrit that was actually one of the rare instances where you soloed a boss tier opponent alone

@dtomquick Wanna hear something even more terrifying: The WOL in Kannon only uses the "Party system" (Azem's thingy) 2 times. Everything else, every boss the WOL soloed. NO joke. Endsinger was one of those 2 uses.

I've mentioned elsewhere, but I actually think this is the CANON explanation for what makes the WoL so terrifying. Fighting them is like fighting a legion of heroes unto themselves, and that's without adding in any fellow adventurers/magical echoes.

@MothVerKa @chazzerrobo Well, sometimes you can get a more miserable experience if devs actually balanced the game while accounting for slowdowns. Shmups specifically are infamous for this, where ultra fast, dense bullet patterns might only exist because they'll tank fps, in turn making them very doable

@chazzerrobo Or my favourite: "Game actually runs at a stable frame rate, unlike on actual hardware" Yeah, an objectively better experience totally invalidates my opinions. Sure.

Its funny how people take "emulation isn't accurate" at face value when in most cases it means "game plays exactly like real hardware but the grass texture is misaligned by .0000005 millimeters"
