@CFCdruw Your empathy is commendable, however, it's not difficult to understand why he's universally disliked - even if it can be unfair. Public perception is bad because of the way he's carried himself + he's proven to be a very limited player - easy target for frustrated fans.

Seriously, I can't believe some of the things I'm seeing regarding Jeremy Jacquet. We've been crying out for quite some time now that we need to sign a CB and now that we're doing so, suddenly there's an issue? Jacquet is our priority target for a reason. If you take a look at some of our other priority targets over the last few windows and then compare them to the players we ended up signing... There's a difference. Pay the extra 10m-20m to sign YOUR guy. Give it a few months and Chelsea fans will be raving about Jeremy.

@Luyologist @CFCdruw PTSD from Caicedo, Palmer, Enzo, Garnacho, Estevao, Jackson, Gusto, Santos? The hit rate isn't low. I've got actual PTSD from Lukaku, Morata, Bakayoko, Emerson, Barkley, Werner, Ziyech, Zappacosta, Saul, Kepa, Zakaria etc. The miss rate was HIGH back then!

@CFCdruw Let's not be disingenuous here, of course you're going to list our best performers. Those names you listed off are incredible talents. What about the duds, of which there are plenty? Our hit-rate is pretty fucking average, let's keep it 💯.

Estevao, Palmer, Moi, Enzo, Nico, Santos, Gusto, Quenda, Penders, Sarr, Páez, etc… Sure, not all of our signings will work out, but you’re telling me this isn’t exciting? The biggest thing for me is, we’re after a highly rated CB, which is what we’ve been asking for. People are complaining about Jacquet, but I’ve yet to see anybody actually recommend a realistic name. Ramon, Senesi and Jacquet are the three CB’s we’ve been linked to. I’m a fan of all three, but believe Jacquet is the better option.

After multiple seasons of anger, frustration and disappointment, you brought the Chelsea fanbase smiles, happiness and pride. YOU took us back to where we belong and I couldn’t be anymore thankful for that. Two trophies and UCL qualification in your first season. Unfortunately, Chapter two was cut MUCH shorter than expected. Who knows what could have happened. The way this has ended is a shock to all of us. Thank you for sticking up for us. Thank you for giving us something to cheer for. And thank you for the “World Champions” label that we do NOT take lightly. All love from over here, Gaffer.

@CFCdruw People have little patience for cowardice and stubbornness - something Maresca demonstrates on a weekly basis. These are the consequences.

Before Maresca was hired, you asked for a winner. He’s proved his worth and should have credit in the bank. Instead of backing him, you want to repeat the cycle. It’s never ending. With how this fanbase operates nowadays, it will be impossible for a Manager to succeed here.

@CFCdruw @B03GHB4L1 Scrub might be harsh, but he is a bit of a nothing player. Works hard, but to no effect. No attacking threat, no chance creation outside of hopeful crosses, no skill. Underwhelming.

@B03GHB4L1 I respect your opinion and maybe I just don’t know ball, but I think he’s much better than people give him credit for. Sure, maybe not world class, but some people talk like he’s a scrub.

His existence as a Chelsea player perfectly captures what is wrong with our recruitment. £60m, never injured, never dropped and almost never good. No potential to be anything other than mediocre.

@CFCdruw Being a "goal threat" isn't good enough at the highest level if there's no end product. He's consistently shown throughout his career that he doesn't have enough quality in the final third. Nice to watch, but ineffective.
