@FurkanGozukara Why don't we start with a wealth tax on members of Congress and see how that works out before attacking only billionaires?

Absolute comedy gold! Senator Bernie Sanders brilliantly mocks the billionaire class. He reveals a 5 percent wealth tax would cost Jeff Bezos 14 billion dollars, yet still leave him with a staggering 265 billion to survive. The establishment's greed is completely unhinged!
Furkan Gözükara@FurkanGozukara

Senator Bernie Sanders drops a massive bombshell. He confirms a tiny 5 percent wealth tax on just 1000 billionaires would instantly provide a 12,000 dollar payment to ordinary families. He reveals the elite hoard. Wealth tax will be absolutely mandatory with upcoming AI era.

🚨BREAKING🚨 the “Stop Nick Shirley” bill just passed through the CA Assembly. Instead of fixing the fraud and abuse being exposed, Sacramento Democrats would rather go after the people shining a light on it. Transparency matters. Accountability matters. Free speech matters. AB 2624 now heads to the Senate. Call your State Senator and tell them to vote NO on AB 2624.

@Thevictoria76 Those who wish to protest should do so on their own time - whether they should be in class or working at their job. The principal did the right thing. The ones that should be fired are the teachers that orchestrated the protests on class time.

Principal Daniel Weber did the right thing! 👍 When students ditched classes to protest ICE, he stepped up and clearly said: Go back to class or you will be suspended. Education comes first. Discipline matters. Those calling for him to be fired should remember: School is a place for learning, not protests.

@Cryptoboyy_Aji My husband had a pension after working for the same company for 25 years - yet his pension was a little over $1250 per month - nowhere near $2800. Neither of us had a 401K. I worked for companies with profit sharing or company stock plans. Converted two of them into a Roth IRA.

Companies got rid of pensions in the 1980s. They said 401ks were better. More flexible. More freedom. You control your own retirement. What they didn’t say: The risk shifted from the company to you. The market crashes you absorb. The bad years you absorb. The timing of your retirement you gamble on. Before: company promised you $2,800 a month for life. After: company puts in 3% and wishes you luck. They didn’t give you freedom. They gave you responsibility without power. The company used to bet on your future. Now you bet on theirs. And if you lose? That’s a you problem.

MAGA HEADS ARE GOING TO EXPLODE 🤯 🚨 A new Cato study found immigrants reduced US deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994. Not increased. Reduced. Even undocumented immigrants were estimated to have reduced deficits by at least $1.7 trillion. The very people Republicans keep villainizing are working, paying taxes, and helping keep the economy afloat while billionaires and corporations dodge taxes with loopholes their lobbyists wrote themselves.

@PatriotHQ I'm a senior, and I disagree. Everyone should pay property taxes but based on the purchase price of the home - not any re-assessments.

MAGA Patriot HQ 🇺🇸
Nancy Mace is spot on here, seniors should NOT have to pay property taxes! Things that should be included: 🚨 - Being 60 or older. - Living in the home as a primary residence. - Meeting residency/time-in-home requirements. Supporters say: 🚨 - Seniors on fixed incomes are getting priced out by rising assessments. - People who already “paid off” homes still face perpetual taxes. - It helps seniors age in place instead of being forced to move. - It could reduce senior homelessness and displacement.

@MetamateDaz There was nothing easy about growing up in a trailer park, working my way through college, riding public transportation until age 27 when I could afford a car, and saving up for downpayment on a house before having kids. And I have paid for college for my kids and grandkids.

BOOMERS INHERITED THE EASIEST FUCKING EXISTENCE IMAGINABLE AND THEN MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY OTHER GENERATION TO EXPERIENCE IT EVER AGAIN Homes were 2-3x median income in the 70s. Now they’re 6-7x. Public college cost ~$3,500/year (inflation-adjusted). Today? $9,750+. Boomers hit 69% homeownership by age 40. Millennials? Just 62%. They bought cheap houses that exploded in value, pulled up the ladder with zoning, NIMBYism, and endless deficits, then lecture everyone about “hard work.” while we’re drowning in student debt, stagnant wages, and $400k starter homes.

Millions of Americans are of the view that the country should first ensure security at its borders, solve the issue of crime, and boost economic stability before any more mass immigration is considered 🇺🇸 Some Americans think that since America was established by immigrants, locking the doors for them is an extreme step. What do you think

@OCpatriot_ Actually if he did a little research Mr. Platner may find that the Bezos family donates a lot of money to charity. And much of Mr. Bezos wealth today is tied to the recent increases in Amazon stock. Far from hoarding money, Bezos has invested it in other businesses as has Musk.

Let's run a little experiment together. First, let's agree on the math: - There are about 900 Billionaires in the US with a combined net worth of $3.2 Trillion. - There are 3.8 Million K-12 Public School teachers in the US. - There are 100 Million Americans on some sort of federal assistance. Let's start with teachers. How much of an increase to the average American K-12 teacher equals "playing teachers what they're worth"? $1,000 a year bump is too low. $10,000? Maybe. That's like $650 more a month. Not life changing but not nothing. But probably still not "what they're worth" so let's go much higher. $50,000 a year? That pushes them into a new tax bracket but it's still likely an additional $2,500 a month on their pockets. Now we're talking. That's $190,000,000,000 a year. Assuming we give teachers a 3% raise every year to keep up with inflation, and that we don't hire any more teachers, we run out of billionaire wealth in year 15. But we haven't yet touched the 100 Million Americans on federal assistance, healthcare, or childcare. So let's hold some of that back for them. Let's say we only fund those teachers with Billionaire wealth for 10 years, or $2.17 Trillion. We still have $1.03 Trillion for those other causes. Let's start with childcare. There are 4.2M children in America today with inadequate child care because their families are at or below the poverty line and their parents have to work and can't afford child care. The data says the very low end of childcare in this country costs $1,200 a month, so we'll use that. That works out to $60.48 Billion per year. Okay cool so we can fund that for 10 years at a cost of just under $605B from that $1.03T we had left after paying teachers "what they're worth" Oh, but we still have federal assistance, and healthcare, and now we only have about $400B left. We said earlier we have 100M Americans on federal assistance. Let's assume all of them need healthcare assistance too. We also said we have $400B left. If we equally disperse that $400B across 100M Americans over 10 years to assist in Healthcare that comes out to... $33 a month in additional healthcare assistance. Well that won't work. But that's all we have left. And then in 10 years we're completely out of Billionaire money and the massive teachers raises, the free childcare, and the paltry healthcare assistance runs out of funding. ...And America's economy collapses because we took the richest, most innovative, biggest job creating captains of industry, and made them penniless. Platner is insane.

@Avabelly__ I have worked in thrift stores for over 20 years. It is the responsibility of the store to check the pockets of clothing as well as the contents of any purses or bags. You are not obligated in any way to return the money. If you feel guilty about keeping it donate it to charity.

Found this in a pair of jeans I thrifted. My coworker found out and she told me to bring it back to the thrift shop because it's the right thing to do even if it's just $10. She mentioned that if she found even a cent she would still return it. Would you return it? I think I have the right to keep it, but she's making me feel some type of way about it.

Nobody is okay right now. Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Rent is $1,800 in the hood. Daycare is $1,500 a month. Groceries are up 40% since 2020. Credit cards are at 21% interest. A starter home requires a $80,000 down payment. Health insurance is $500 a month with a $6,000 deductible. And somehow everyone is still showing up. To work. To parent. To pay bills. To hold it together. We are not lazy. We are not irresponsible. We are not making excuses. We are exhausted from doing everything right in a system designed to keep us behind. Give people grace right now. Everyone is one unexpected bill away from falling apart. And most of them are smiling through it.
