The President just used his power to exempt himself and his family from audits on every tax return they've ever filed. If that is not corruption to the highest degree, then what is?

I've been getting these type of responses for the last 24 hrs and I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

@LyleGraversen Saying basa can't play sam is showing 0 knowledge of ball he can play the strong side hell he was the MLB for Oregon. He can play all three.

2 quick responses to all the replies. 1. If McDonald is good enough to lock down that spot, that's a huge win and I'll be thrilled. I still think a vet min. type signing w/experience would add insurance. 2. Jeffrey Bassa can't play the SAM spot. Period. I won't debate that.

Just a friendly reminder that if the season started today, the Chiefs starting SAM linebacker would be... Cooper McDonald? There has to be a veteran LB signing coming. Right?

@zzekiel35 You can't just play any random combo of 3 LBs you think is best. They are 3 different positions. Chenal's spot (the SAM) requires a bigger/stronger LB and that's not Bassa who is a best fit for Tranquill's spot that requires someone that can run and cover better.

@EkeTheGreat3 Chenal played over 40% of KCs defensive snaps the last 2 seasons. That's a lot of snaps to just not worry about.

@tjsmcmlxii @heavysan Nice find and I hope he's great, but even a cheap vet with some experience for competition would make me feel better.

Reading @AlbertBreer's draft insights piece and this stood out. I've been one of many that didn't love the trade up for Delane. Maybe its just selling their pick, but if they did feel like Delane is one of the best CB prospects in the past decade it at least makes more sense.

@NicWestin Jeffrey Bassa may turn into a starting LB someday, but he's not a SAM. He's built for Tranquill's spot.

@MarMar0725 @AlbinoBagel Agree to disagree. I think if they liked George more than McDonald they wouldn't of had McDonald on the active roster over him last season. I agree he's more athletic, but I don't think that's the only thing they'll look at.

@LyleGraversen @AlbinoBagel Brandon George would probably be the SAM, he the most athletic / strong linebacker we have

@AlbinoBagel I don't think Cochrane can play SAM (frankly he can't play the Mike either). I think McDonald is the only LB on the roster with the size/power to play SAM.

@chaposonnem I would argue that only a dumbass would think a team should base all their picks (especially late in the draft) on the coming season alone. If they get their long term QB2 out of late 7th rd pick, that's going to be one of the best values of any 7th rounder this year.

I LOVE the Nussmeier pick and don't understand anyone complaining about it. A late 7th rounder is a dart throw and they took a QB that Dane Brugler and the KC Draft Guide had as QB3 and a 3rd rd grade. Groom him for a year and he takes over the QB2 in 2027.

Emmett Johnson probably walks into camp as KC's best option to spell Walker between the tackles where he might be KC's most elusive runner. That alone makes him worth a 5th rd pick. If EB can turn him into a reliable pass pro guy and he becomes the 3rd down guy too? Total steal.
Price Carter@priceacarter

Emmett Johnson | RB | 5-11 200 LBS 2nd in FBS in scrimmage yards, shifty with excellent burst and long speed. Surprising contact balance, big factor in the passing game, sturdy between the tackles, Not overly powerful limited pass protection reps. Shades of: Travis Etienne

Not only did everything feel rushed, getting backed up on picks sucks all the drama out of the broadcast because people just get impatient and get the picks on social media. Honestly, I'd go back to 10 min to allow a little more discussion/highlights/commentary.

The @NFL needs to mandate that next year when the draft is in Washington DC that the prospect green room is much closer to the stage. With 8 min between picks there isn't time for family hugs, a long walk, hat station, hug/photo w/Goodell and then interview.
