@mikerexbooks My 12 year old and I both read it and loved it!

This is really hard to talk about but… “Low Power” came out in August and has one major review from Kirkus. No review from PW, SLJ, Booklist, CVC or Hornbook. Is it really that bad? Am I really so delusional to think it was a good book? This is a new low.

Exciting day for the youngest and me! We got to meet Millie Bobby Brown at @andersonsbookshop and get copies of her book, Nineteen Steps, signed. She chatted for a minute with Ally about her Taylor Swift surprise songs, too!

@KReilley5 @SJ_Mondragon @Jarrett_Lerner And there is such rich vocabulary in graphic novels. Supports the reader AND expands vocabulary. And motivates!!

Graphic novel section is (almost) ready and waiting for my classroom of 4/5th grade student readers. Adding a few more ordered books later this week. This made my heart so happy today! ❤️📚

I am moving from 5th grade ELA to 2nd grade this year! What start of the year chapter book/novel read aloud do you suggest? I love a good classic but I am hankering for something newer and relevant published in the last few years! Anyone have any ideas for me? #kidlit
