🆘 DON’T LOOK AWAY 🆘 The Islamic regime is going to hang Diana Taherabadi because she participated in the January protests. She’s only 16. This is pure barbarism. Share this before they kill her. #IranMassacre #StopExecutionsInIran

It’ll be here next week . . . *Wednesday May 20th 09:55 Windy says simmer doon ffs, it’ll be here next week . . . Although it is progressively getting WARMER as we go through the week and into the weekend, and by Friday we’ll be seeing highs of +20/22c degrees I went for 15/17c degrees today, with parts of the NE seeing +18 or +19 PS - I don’t use deep reds or purples to scare you. A pleasant shade of orange does for Scotland with a light red when it gets hot #spanishplume #heatwave #scotsscorchio #tapsaff

🚨 James O’Brien just torched the whole “Brexit betrayal” narrative on @LBC: “How can it be a betrayal if every single reason they gave us has turned out to be blatant, barefaced LIES?” Brexit is back at the centre of frontline politics and the Leave camp is already screaming betrayal again. #Brexit #RejoinTheEU #LBC

The BBC paid for the investigation. Then refused to air it. But Gaza does not disappear because a newsroom got scared. The doctors spoke. The destroyed hospitals are witnesses. The real question is no longer what Israel did. It is who decided the world should not see it.

⚽️ Wallace High School Senior Girls have vowed to leave everything on the pitch as they bid for Scottish Cup glory for the third successive year on Thursday night (23 April) at Hampden Park. The school’s U18s will take on Braidhurst High in the Scottish Senior Girls Shield final at the National Stadium as they aim to keep the silverware in Stirling (kick-off 7pm). In 2024, a dramatic last-gasp 1-0 victory over St Ninian’s High from Giffnock saw them lift the trophy for the first time at Hampden – the first time the senior girls’ final had been hosted there. Then last year, they made it back-to-back triumphs in the competition with a resounding 11-1 win over Grove Academy from Dundee at the Falkirk Stadium. Reaching a third successive final at U18 level continues a remarkable level of sustained success for girls’ football at Wallace in recent years. In 2023, the U15s lost out narrowly in the Scottish Cup final. Many of that squad moved up to the U18s where they enjoyed back-to-back cup victories – 12 of the original group remain and will be starring in their fourth consecutive final on Thursday, including captain Rebecca Simpson. She said: “Reaching the final again is surreal and I am beyond proud to be a part of this historic journey with Wallace High School. To have reached four consecutive Scottish Cup finals is incredible. “My advice to the team will be to go out and enjoy the occasion, leave everything on the pitch and have no regrets. “I feel that I have grown as a player and a person over the last six years playing with both the boys’ and girls’ teams at Wallace High. I came to Wallace to play football and be part of the school of sport and it has more than exceeded my expectations.” The Scottish Senior Girls’ Shield final will take place at Hampden Park on Thursday 23 April. Kick off 7pm. Admission prices: £8 for adults, £6 for concessions. Cash only. Read more: stirling.gov.uk/news/wallace-h…

Right on Hereford. Left on Boylston . . . *Monday April 20th 19:15 Windy says right on Hereford, left on Boylston, and without doubt the most iconic marathon finish ever - Boston If you don't know our backstory - My wife Gusty ran the London marathon in 2018 and she inspired me to take up running I then started my own SIX STAR journey, running London & Berlin in 2019, Chicago in 2022, New York in 2023 and Tokyo in 2024 (I also ran London again in 2023 and 2025) raising over £250,000 pounds for good causes Today we were all meant to be in Boston as I was due to run the greatest marathon in the world, and pick up my SIXTH STAR, something that I've dreamt of for the last 3 or 4 years, and when I got a place last year we were all ecstatic But life had other plans and I had to DNS in November after I was diagnosed with a structural heart condition The last six months have been a different kind of marathon though, the toughest one I’ve ever ran - vascular adaption, new meds, recovery runs, AF episodes, hospital visits, fear & frustration, lots of tears and the slow work of rebuilding a body & heart I used to trust without question And yet, here I am - still moving and still fighting for the version of me that refuses to quit (and never will) Five stars isn’t almost, five stars is a legacy. Five stars is proof of every mile, every 5am alarm, every setback, every comeback, every finish line I earned with my whole heart. Now that same heart is struggling and I need to give it time to heal I sat and watched Boston this afternoon and shed a few tears because it hurt like fuk . . . But grief only exists where love once lived, and I loved this dream deeply But the journey isn’t over. It’s just changing shape, and so am I I have no words to express my eternal gratitude and love for my wife Gusty - my inspiration, and now my rock & saviour as we rebuild for the future and maybe one day, you just never know . . . Boston Strong !! PS - You might see me struggle but you'll never see me quit !! #bostonstrong #bostonmarathon #sixstars #boston

It never rains but it pours eh . . . *Sunday April 19th 19:30 Windy loves a weather cliché but not his current accolade - first name terms with most of the A&E staff at PRI as I had my 3rd AFib in 48hrs this afternoon Anyway. I’m fine and Gusty is happy with the outcome so far, so that’s the main thing but I’ve got a few phone calls to make tomorrow ken. Need to sort out my meds and chase up my angiogram Right. WEATHER wise . . . As forecast HIGH pressure dominates but we’ve got some strong blustery showers tomorrow up over the northern half of the country including the Northern Isles, with the very best of it further south Highs of +11/13c degrees PS - Seriously guts. It’s all good. Hard to believe though that there are some out there that live in aFib 24/7 . . . I just couldn’t even begin to imagine it, as I’m absolutely shattered after my 3 over the weekend - 9hrs, 45mins and 3hrs (fuk me, my body thinks I’ve ran a 50 miler) . . . Please please please go get yer BLOOD PRESSURE checked before it does some serious damage #arrhythmias #afib #weather #monday
