@PeterStefanovi2 Starmer and Streeting should be schooled by @neilcgray on how to avert NHS strikes. The first step is to respect staff for all their hard work. Clapping during Covid really meant something to Scots. Secondly, pay them more. GovUK runs the Treasury but a devolved nation pays out.

Seriously? The NHS's ability to tackle waiting lists and treat patients is being severely constrained by shortages of key doctor groups. The Prime Minister’s threat to take away 1,000 extra training places if strikes are not called off will surely worsen an already dire situation? I get there are arguments on both sides but using workforce planning (which directly impacts patient care) to threaten a union over strikes is just plain wrong
