"It genuinely feels fantastic to be back. The summer has been one of the busiest I can remember, but seeing everything finally come together makes every bit of hard work worthwhile. We’ve recruited exceptionally well, put together a brilliant pre-season in Spain, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure every detail is in place. The training ground has been a huge focus. While we’re putting the finishing touches to creating something we’re incredibly proud of, ready by the end of September, we’ve also made sure we have an excellent backup plan in place. We haven’t left anything to chance because we want to give the players and staff the very best environment possible. Yesterday’s win was a brilliant way to begin. It’s only the first step, and nobody is getting carried away, but it was a reward for all the effort that’s gone in over recent months and a glimpse of what this group is capable of. I’d like to thank everyone who’s played a part in getting us to this point: our players, coaching staff, volunteers, sponsors and, of course, our supporters. Your belief, patience and commitment never go unnoticed. Now the real work begins. We’ll keep pushing, keep improving and keep doing everything we can to make this a season our club can be proud of.
