A constant thing I hear from people is that the “PGA Tour is dying”. I have no idea where they get that idea, but it’s totally wrong. Ratings are way up last couple years. Ticket sales are great. 200,000 this week at The Players! Losing Rahm, Bryson didn’t move the needle.

Q) Why does MyGolfSpy use Foresight/Humans for club testing and Trackman/Robots for golf ball testing? A) 1. Foresight is phenomenal for club testing… but not the best for ball testing. Foresight uses camera-based, point-in-time tracking. It’s elite at measuring club/impact data and the first few feet of ball flight. But that’s exactly the problem: ➡️ Golf ball performance is defined by what happens AFTER those first few feet. Spin decay, lift coefficient, drag, dimple pattern behavior, stability, peak height, descent angle…none of that is directly measured by Foresight. It takes the impact data… and guesses the rest. Great for fittings. Not the best for comparing ball designs. ⸻ 2. TrackMan is radar…it measures the entire flight. TrackMan watches the ball for the whole shot. So it doesn’t need to predict ball aerodynamics…it literally sees them. This matters because: •Some balls launch the same but fly completely different. •Spin decay rates vary massively ball to ball. •Aero stability (left/right drift) is ball-specific. •Bad aerodynamics only show up in the back half of flight. Radar sees this. Cameras don’t. You should test clubs on a Foresight. You can’t test balls. For golf balls you need a robot and a radar…because cameras only see the first few feet, and the real story happens after that.
