@McNeilBJ Thanks for sharing! Curious if you see yourself changing your pre or burndown chemistry in the future as you get more and more comfortable with the system and savings profile. I’d expect products like status or other more expensive contact herbicides will be more appealing.

We have sprayed 1,300 acres of soybeans, first pass, with our See and Spray Ultimate. See and Spray tank 1 is applying RU and 2-4D plus additives. Tank 2 is broadcasting Pre's. 533 out of the 1300 got the burn down chemical. All acres got the Pre's We saved 60% on our burn down chemical, over $7,000 on this app alone. The tech fee was $767 ($1/acre where nothing was applied) That's still over a $6000 savings.

@agrobaz Definitely agree with you there. Flumioxazin and sulfentrazone can definitely bite back if you don’t get enough water through the year or if you have low organic matter. Are you getting charged by JD for every acre of GoG still?

@MAF683 Totally agree with that comment. However residuals can only be used on a component of the rotation, and we need to remind ourselves residuals can really bite you in dry years. I tend to see more need for spot spraying after residuals, as it’s never a full germination of weeds.

Interested in others thoughts but I’m not happy with some modern spot spray cameras. They are a massive step backwards from weedits imo with no fix in sight. This is 2 weeks after a jd see and spray. That brand is not alone, so not isolating a brand. What are others seeing?

Tough to imagine penciling out a profit per acre in an environment where you are buying inputs with a cheap dollar and your output is being tariffed by our largest export markets. Something has to give here. #canadianag
