A day in, I think I just got fooled by NEW slip here. Already tired of its design. But 5.6 Sol is really incredible. First to clear the bar of “my non-technical ass can just tell it to build anything and it will do it and do it well.” First one I’ve gotten sucked into playing with for hours and was excited to wake up and play with again. Plus, it’s not patronizing and OpenAI hasn’t warned that it’s going to destroy the world, which is a plus. OpenAI has regained the Mandate of Heaven. It should buy Figma or something - I think demand for designers goes way up, I’d love to pay someone to make my blandly-designed creations look beautiful and unique to not boring. The better the models get at what they’re good at, the less likely it seems they’re going to be good at everything and wake up one day and take over the world.
