In this classic seminar clip, Tony Robbins uses a humorous “pattern interrupt” by jokingly blaming a young man’s feelings of self-hatred on his bright red sneakers. After breaking the tension and getting the man to smile, Robbins delivers a powerful lesson on patience and realistic goal-setting. He explains that the young man is suffering from toxic perfectionism rather than simply having high standards. Robbins reminds him of the famous principle that people overestimate what they can achieve in one year but underestimate what they can accomplish in two or three decades. Since the young man hasn’t even been alive for a few decades, Robbins urges him to stop beating himself up and recognize that he has plenty of time to succeed.

Texas' Governor Greg Abbott designates the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as terrorist organizations. A huge step in the right direction.

@benhabib6 Yes, Ben 🙏🏻This must not stand for a moment! Who is positioned to take this on - Lord Toby Young? The erosion of British liberty should be viewed as criminal. Islam is by no means perfect and Muslims (and non Muslims) need to be able to critique both its books and its history.

Most people see the new Anti-Muslimness law as an attack on free speech. It is even worse than that. It is the final building block in the foundations to replace Christianity with Islam in the United Kingdom Our Christian constitution and culture is being set aside.

Families of failed asylum seekers have been offered up to £40,000 to leave Britain voluntarily in a new pilot scheme from the Labour Government, with the Home Secretary saying it could "save money". dailysceptic.org/2026/03/05/fai…

@BasilTheGreat Am I wrong ? English, is an ethnic identity. It relates to the Anglo-saxons of the 5th and 6th Centuries. This lady is British, but not English. If she married an English person, her children would be mixed race, English/Pakistani. Genes & shared history matter.

“If you are a school teacher and you are teaching the history of the Muslim conquests, are you going to take the risk of saying that Islam was imposed by the sword? Islam was responsible for massacres that took place across what became the Muslim world? You’re going to be very careful.” An official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — will stifle legitimate criticism of Islam, including its history and practices. Though non-statutory, it will be adopted zealously by public bodies, including schools and universities. It will deter honest, open and frank discussion, and risk obscuring the realities of historical events. Watch @DavidRoseUK on our latest podcast episode 👇

@Rascal778 @calvinrobinson @benhabib6 @Nanaakua1 Cornish peoples’ identification varies significantly among individuals, but overall, a majority in Cornwall do not exclusively identify as English, though many hold layered identities. A distinct Cornish identity is strongly asserted by a substantial and growing minority...

What utter garbage. @Nanaakua1 is English and British There is no room in any serious political party for ethnically based nationalism. Yes the rate of demographic change is of huge concern Yes mass migration combined with multiculturalism is undermining our national identity Yes progressive discrimination is a disaster. But Nana is English and British. Ethno-nationalism is inherently un-British. It would lead our wonderful country into a very dark alley.
Wolf 🐺@WorldByWolf

Charlie is much more gentlemanly than me so when asked by @Nanaakua1 whether she is British he tries to handle the question with compassion. I’m afraid we aren’t dealing with good faith actors. We must simply say “no you’re not. Just as you aren’t a man you also aren’t British”.

@TRobinsonNewEra This woman claimed that even though she has Pakistani parents and is a Muslim, that one can be like her and English. Not true. This is an example of why those with English ethnicity are up-in-arms. It’s inflammatory rhetoric because it’s both ethnically and culturally untrue

@benhabib6 Ben, I think you’re missing the point and getting triggered. You, Sir, obviously have English ethnicity. However, Shabana Mahmoud whose parents are both from Pakistan and who is a self declared Muslim said in Parliament that one can be like her, and English. Utter bullshit.

No one sane denies: 1. There is an indigenous English, Scots, Welsh and Irish ethnicity. 2. These historic ethnicities are something to protect and celebrate. My mother is blond blue eyed English and descended from the best of English. My grandfather fought in the Somme. His father was a vicar. I love England. 3. Ethnic identity cannot be bought by buying a passport. 4. White English, Scots, Welsh and Irish have been deliberately set aside by mass migration, multiculturalism and discrimination in favour of foreign ethnic minorities. This is the work of the anti-nation illiberal global order. 5. We must deport all foreigners who should not be here or have broken the law or those that refuse to assimilate. 6. Benefits should be withdrawn from all foreigners. 7. All attempts to enter the country illegally should be blocked by force. BUT underpinning a political party’s philosophy on ethnonationalism is wrong. It would create a underclass of British citizens who love the United Kingdom and would die for it, me included. I love the United Kingdom and England. I love everything about who we are. I would die for England. I am not alone. Our Empire was the greatest ever known. All people in the Empire were British subjects. Ethnonationalism stands in opposition to our political history. The country faces huge challenges. These cannot be addressed by blunt ethonationslism. A political party must base its philosophy on protecting all parts of the United Kingdom and all its people. I am British. I am English.

If I moved to Japan, and lived in Japan for decades, speaking the language, integrating into society, contributing to the economy. Would I be ethnically Japanese? No. No I would not. I would never pretend to be. Nor would that apply to India, Thailand, Mexico, Denmark or anywhere else. So why is England different? Of course there is an English ethnicity. I am entirely bemused by how so many argue against that. It’s just a fact. Politicians who say otherwise are cowards. This is painfully obvious. Restore Britain’s position is clear. English ethnicity exists - it’s the only sodding data point that the Government collects on anything. Of course someone who is not of that ethnicity can be British, obviously. But it equally does not mean that the English ethnicity is imaginary. Those two things can be true at the same time. I got in trouble years ago for suggesting that the footballer Paul Pogba was French, but not ethnically French. It’s insanity. That is just a factual position. Common sense, clearly. Separately, Restore Britain has said from the very start - owning a British passport does not make you British. We have seen how lazily those documents have been frittered away. Holding that piece of paper does not automatically make you British, we are very clear on that. Is the Egyptian lunatic Alaa Abd El-Fattah British? He has a passport. Restore Britain says NO. No, he is not and he should be stripped of that paper and deported. Being British encompasses so much more than that, it means so much more than that. It is not simply a piece of paper. It is culture, shared beliefs, patriotism, language, a common understanding of what is right and wrong. That has nothing to do with ethnicity, obviously. But for even daring to suggest that English ethnicity exists I’ll be roundly attacked. It is just a fact. Every other country in the world manages to acknowledge ethnicities exist without descending into hysteria. England should be able to do the same.

@calvinrobinson @benhabib6 @Nanaakua1 You write "English is an ethnicity". I'm not altogether sure about that. It's a national descriptor, sure, but going from nation to ethnicity is quite the leap. I suppose since these labels are social constructs you could make that argument, but it's always going to be contested.

@calvinrobinson @benhabib6 @Nanaakua1 So Calvin, perhaps you can define what makes someone ethnically English? Because all I´ve read or heard falls down at the first challenge. And I say this as a very proud and patriotic Englishman. But I say that, and I´m not sure I qualify by some people´s definitions.
