Time flies when you’re animating golf balls at extreme levels of intensity. This is still one of our favorite spots we’ve done with Callaway. Why? It’s sharp, dark, and packed with the kind of energy we love pushing into a piece. Chrome Soft originally launched on this day, and this spot marked the first time we teamed up with Callaway to bring their latest and greatest to life. We’ve made many spots with them since, but this one hits different. This was all about exploring the unknown of what goes into the precision behind making the best golf ball (we’re a bit biased). Every frame needed to land perfectly, pushing the pace while revealing layer after layer. The transformation builds energy toward the final form. We’ve been doing these MAKE it or break it studio creations for the past few months, and this prompt was an easy yes: What do you love most about Minnesota? ❤️ Five artists took two hours each, passing their stories hand to hand. Having our digital artists paint on a 3×5 ft canvas?! Yeah, this was a big switch-up and honestly a challenge, but for this specific piece, it was all about the act of the process. By using a traditional/mixed media approach, we could really slow down and get personal with it, and that felt like the only way to do this. During a time when our friends, neighbors, city, and state are feeling a lot of emotions.
