I've officially joined @solana family for the upcoming bull market working with Ledger + Phantom combo over here my plan is to stake this on @Helius on the next epoch or would you divide it by multiple validators?

TL;DR: The day Marinade killed its own product Most staking protocols hold your SOL inside a smart contract. You give them the money, they give you a token. If the contract gets hacked (like Drift) the money is gone. @MarinadeFinance found something different buried in Solana's code. Every stake account on Solana has two separate keys: 1. Controls ownership: who can move the SOL. 2. Controls delegation: who can choose which validator it goes to. These two keys can belong to different people. That meant something important. You could keep your withdraw key. Give Marinade only the delegation key. They can optimize your staking across hundreds of validators. But they can never touch your funds. The worst case if Marinade gets compromised: your SOL points to a bad validator for one epoch. They built this and launched it in 2023. Within two weeks, 1.2M SOL left their own liquid staking token to use it. Users didn't need the contract. Marinade cannibalized their own flagship product to protect users. After last week, that decision looks very different.
