Think about this. If the SAVE Act passes, your driver’s license won’t be enough to register in most states. Even your Social Security number won’t be enough. You’ll need your birth certificate or a passport just to register.

President Trump has the power to convene the Senate under Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution “on extraordinary Occasions.” If a department with 260,000 employees (DHS) going unfunded isn’t an “extraordinary occasion”—especially while the Senate is out on a two-week recess during that shutdown with no plans to resolve the impasse beyond “we’ll deal with that in two weeks”—I don’t know what is.

Omnibus bills piss me off! I say in addition to age and term limits we need more change. All funding bills must be completed ON TIME. If not, no sitting member should be eligible for reelection. Shutdown, not eligible! Partial shutdown.. not eligible! Congress is an embarrassment!

Don’t let Republicans in DC gaslight you. Using reconciliation, Congress was able to go around the filibuster and pass a bill with less than 60 votes in the senate. It was called the Big Beautiful Bill. What did it do? It added hundreds of billions of dollars of new spending.
