They don't use them because they are too low ! Why the cases per 100 000 - because the statistical figure is scarier than reality

@Mark_Green1878 The North isn't the epicentre. The numbers are inaccurate and made up of a high number of false positives driven by the rise in testing and the use of a high cycle cut off rate in the PCR test ! That cut off is at least 10 cycles over the recommended limit for accurate analysis !

@mayor_anderson @MetroMayorSteve Where are the most cases of Covid occurring ? I would find out where they are and close down those places rather than randomly pick gyms and pubs. Btw is Covid scared of food? Because pubs have to close unless they sell food- again why? Closure of gyms the sword of Damocles 4 u.

The numbers speak for themselves. Liverpool alone has the 3rd highest level of hospitalisations in Europe and our region has less existing capacity than others. A COVID outbreak isn't coming to our region - it's already here and doing damage now.

@MetroMayorSteve Hi Steve - these numbers are worrying, and I think it’s the right thing to publish these so people have real facts. Can you also publish the Maximum Capacity number or maybe % toward Max Capacity? People need these facts to help cut through the noise

@MetroMayorSteve Those figures don't match the official NHS figures either ! The Liverpool University Hospitals Trust only had 95 Covid patients on 1st October and only 550 over August, September and October combined. All the figures are available here : england.nhs.uk/statistics/sta…

@millsytrfc @will_costello @MetroMayorSteve During April 1st - 7th the three main Liverpool University Trust hospitals saw 448 admissions in that week alone, the following week they saw 308. Admissions are still well below those levels !
