@CFC_Decatio You can agree terms with multiple clubs. Doesn’t mean you’ve signed.

Someone has tried to use my bank card 3 times so far today in Edinburgh. 1) Sainsbury’s £5.45 2) Argos £1199.00 3) Morrisons £100 Fascinating how my bank knew it wasn’t me and declined them all.

@CJH456 @SquareLeg50 @PlinthBotherer5 Speed and agility is the key point here. You used to enter it on the console and a few minutes later later it comes out on the conveyor. Now you have to go to the sainsbury’s CS desk, wait in the cigarette/lotto queue, then someone takes ages ambling out the back to grab it.

@SquareLeg50 @PlinthBotherer5 They haven't sold it for that much of a loss in reality. They sold the financial services arm of Argos for over £700m. Sainsbury's ultimately drove it into the floor, the restructure ruined the speed and agility it once had.

This was a correct observation about 15 years ago but Argos is good now Click and Collect on sensibly priced homeware/kitchen/childcare/electronics when you can't be waiting in for a delivery. It's really useful. Since we had the baby I think i've used it every couple of weeks
Darren Johnson@DarrenJohnson66

Not really sure what the point of Argos is these days. The printed catalogues have long gone and it's all computerised now. So I suppose it's for people who like online shopping but who prefer driving to a shop to do it. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@xMaccaEFC Clear glitch, jackpot game paid out over £50 million in 40 minutes, including hundreds of 6 figure sums and even a few 7 figure sums. Anyone taking them to court would have no chance.

A care assistant in Wakefield won £47,182 on a William Hill jackpot game and was "crying with happiness." She already pulled £33,000 into her bank account to pay off her mortgage. The next day, William Hill called and told her to send it all back. – Gemma Bradley 47, from Wakefield, was playing William Hill's "Jackpot Drop" game on March 16 when the win hit. – She immediately withdrew the maximum her debit card allowed, £33,000, planning to move the rest out the following day. – She and her 69-year-old mother, who she lives with, celebrated together, believing their mortgage stress was finally over. – The next day, she found she could no longer access her William Hill account at all. – That evening, a William Hill representative called to tell her it had been a mistake on the company's end, and she'd need to pay the £33,000 back. – William Hill's own incident report showed 35,072 jackpot "hits" occurred during the roughly 40-minute glitch window, compared to just 518 during the same period a week earlier. – Other affected customers reported losing winnings they believed were as high as £200,000. – One 76 year old man had a heart attack after his own payout was reversed. – Gemma said she'd repay the money if required, adding: "It's a good job I didn't book a holiday. What if it's happened to someone who's gone out and bought a car?" She had the money in her actual bank account, already spent in her head on paying off her mortgage. A phone call from the company that put it there was all it took to ask for every pound back.

@sambrazy Vini agrees terms with Arsenal He goes back to Madrid saying “here’s what they offered me, what can you do to match it” Vini makes a decision If you think about it for all of 5 seconds it’s really not difficult to grasp.

@JoshuajHolden @miltosyerolemou @DubScottie The CEO of Thames Water earns 1 million pounds a year. Maybe he should get his arse in gear and earn that money finding some solutions to that problem, for a start.

@miltosyerolemou @DubScottie The issue is the lack of reservoirs, once they are full, it doesnt matter how much it rains, they dont get fuller, so once it stops raining you have a finite amount that isnt relevant to how much rain there was previously.

@cfcyusxf He’s agreed to the terms Arsenal are offering He goes back to Madrid saying “Arsenal offered me this, what can you do for me to sign a new deal” This is incredibly basic to understand.

@CFCMods He never got Rogers “wrong” If he’d have said “Rogers has signed and is an Arsenal player” then yeah, maybe. But he didn’t. He just said his preference was Arsenal. That’s it. It’s entirely possible Rogers preferred Arsenal a month ago, and was then convinced by Chelsea.

@Utddoja @_abelgray Nobody has “lied”. HOA just tweets what he believes to be true. That Vini Jr has agreed terms with Arsenal. That’s it. At no point has he said “he’s signed”. If he ends up re-signing for Madrid, that doesn’t automatically mean he never agreed terms with Arsenal.

No matter how much you want to defend Andre Berta, the truth is that he has been disappointing in this window. The initial excuse was the World Cup but that excuse ended a while ago. His negotiation method is abysmal. The worst is despite how long he drags the negotiations, we still end up paying the same fee he refused to pay initially. The preseason has begun yet no incomings or outgoing. Arteta would once again be given players who won’t have a preseason and will instead be adapting while the season is on. Berta should wake up or be shown the door. Simple.

@cfcyusxf “Given preference to” and “is expected to” Those statements can be and perhaps were true in the moment they’re said and the player still end up signing elsewhere Neither of those statements mean “this player has definitely signed” This is really basic stuff.

@ModernWrighty She was so enraged that Vini had booked a party for his family I highly doubt Rodri left the ceremony and just wandered around Paris to see if there were any restaurants available

@CFC_Decatio @SkinsMo If HOA had tweeted “Rogers is an Arsenal player, it’s all signed” you might have a point here. The only exclusive he broke was personal terms not being an issue and the clubs are having talks. Those things can still be true whilst ending up signing for someone else.

@CFC_Decatio @SkinsMo Not sure what point you’re trying to prove here. Rogers showed preference for club A over club B. Club B paid more money, Rogers goes to club B. Everything HOA tweeted can be true.

@Carly_Lyes Thought you did something here. Moving semi-finals to Wembley is not the same thing, at all, as selling off parts of an organisation to shady private investors to do what they please with. They are not on the same planet.
