@AVCoachSmith @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump I would respectfully disagree on the Axelrod thing…timing is a little too convenient to dismiss imo
English

@MBHanson265153 @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump I don’t think we are far off on this. Things on social media make tiny differences seem bigger (which isn’t healthy for us haha) but I don’t put a lot of stock in the Axelrod thing. It was an audience. He does it for all people & backgrounds. I don’t think it moved the needle 🤷♂️
English

As a Catholic, I don't buy that @realDonaldTrump is dividing most Catholics at least in this country. Quite the opposite in fact. They agree with him because most American Cathloics hate that the church has become politically progressive, obsequoous to the left and at times openly Marxist. The Pope-who is American--is literally suggesting that we should turn a blind eye to the murderous mullahs, and the American taxpayer should subsidize the world's poor through open borders. As a result, the Pope and the Catholic Church is losing its relevance for most American Cathloics who believe it should stay out of politics and focus its attention to matters of faith and its own problems, lest we forget how it ignored child abuse for decades

@AVCoachSmith @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump Don’t disagree with that either, but I have a big question mark on why did the Pope meet w/David Axelrod and then start w/the politics? There seems to be plenty of blame to go around.
English

@MBHanson265153 @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump I don’t disagree. This issue is POTUS doesn’t like being disagreed with. This whole thing is his ego. He could have easily let it pass or defused the situation. Instead, he called the Pope a loser. Which set off Protestants vs Catholics.
English

@AVCoachSmith @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump Don’t disagree…just as POTUS has more information on international threats than the Pope does. Cuts both ways
English

@MBHanson265153 @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump Yes. However, there should be a degree of humility in the laity to recognize the Pope usually knows more about theology and the correct application of the faith to events.
In the same way we wouldn’t automatically disagree with a general on how to wage war during a conflict.
English

@AVCoachSmith @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump And that also applies to the Pope, “as a Catholic” we also have the right to disagree w/the Pope. He does not speak on these issues “ex cathedra”
English

@CGasparino @realDonaldTrump If that were the case, why did you write the piece?
As soon as you say “As a Catholic” you’re trying to give yourself authority to speak on matters of the Church. But I, as a Catholic, have the right to disagree w/ you. Seeing as I have as much authority as you do on the Church
English

@Pontifex Holy Father, I’m sure your heart is in the right place but it’s hard to accept this advice when one’s “neighbor” wants you dead merely for not being of the same faith (if you can call it that). When they tell you who they are, we must believe them. They do not want peace
English

#Peace is not something we must invent: it is something we must embrace by accepting our neighbor as a brother or sister. We do not choose our brothers and sisters: we must simply accept one another! We are one family, inhabiting the same home: this wonderful planet that ancient cultures have cared for over millennia. #ApostolicJourney #Cameroon

English

@kathleenmadigan The only time the Pope is infallible is when he invokes speak “Ex cathedra”…look it up. The Pope is human and entitled to his opinions and we are entitled to disagree

@RoKhanna @ZohranKMamdani You do realize that free buses will only become homeless encampments, right? Think about it 🙄

@grok @Nala_Jake @TaylorRMarshall @Anonymo72701618 @Grok how did he vote in Republican primaries if he wasn't a Republican?
English

Trump doesn't understand Catholics.
This is Trump’s blind spot:
Trump’s financial and political successes are rooted in a personality cult surrounding the TRUMP brand. Even his preferred religious leaders are appointed solely because they are loyal to Trump first.
Trump has failed to understand that Catholics have a greater allegiance to their Pope in Rome. Trump cannot compete with the Pope. Even when a Pope is mid-tier, Catholics will defend their Pope. Pope means “pop” or “dad” and while we may see flaws in our dad, he's still our dad.
Historians will mark Trump’s attack on the Pope as one of the primary events that led to his downfall and the downfall of the Republican Party. The Midterms will be ugly.
2025-2026 was a triumphant year for Catholics with the first American Pope ever and a record-breaking increase in Easter conversions.
Trump chose the absolute worst moment to throw darts at the Pope, publish profanity on Easter Sunday, and post himself as a “red cross doctor with glowing hands.”
Trump cooked himself. He should have celebrated an American Pope and harnessed all the exuberant Catholic energy moving into 2026. But Trump shares the stage with no one. Instead, he attacked the one American who is more powerful and more popular than himself: the American Pope.
Trump was blinded by his own (declining) aura.

@messer71 @SarahHuckabee Didn’t your mother ever tell you if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing? Guess you missed that life lesson

You are just another women who hides behind a pedo president and a father who is selling out our nation for the same pedo president. You are so ugly inside and out! All of you that have stood by Trump are traitors! Look at the state of our nation. It’s in shambles because of people like you. We can only hope to rid our nation of this hell that trump has brought to our country!

The research behind this is wild. Your sperm carries a set of instructions that tell your genes when to turn on and off. A Duke University study found that THC rewrites those instructions. The more weed in your system, the bigger the changes. It goes straight for the genes your future embryo needs in its first week of life.
I had to read the "day 3 crash" part twice. For the first three days after fertilization, an embryo runs entirely on the mother's DNA. Day 3, the father's genes switch on. If those genes carry cannabis damage, the embryo just stops growing. Fertility doctors see this happen in their labs: embryos that fertilized fine and looked healthy on day 2 go completely still by day 5.
Boston University tracked 1,535 couples trying to have a baby. Men who smoked weed once a week or more doubled their partner's miscarriage risk. That number held up even when the woman herself never touched cannabis. And the miscarriages clustered in the first 8 weeks, right when the father's damaged DNA would be doing the most harm.
Duke also found that the specific genes THC alters in sperm overlap with genes linked to autism. One of those genes, called DLGAP2, helps brain cells communicate with each other. It was changed in cannabis users' sperm. When researchers bred THC-exposed male rats and checked their offspring, the same altered gene pattern showed up in the pups' brains. The damage crossed a generation.
Weed has gotten way stronger over the last 30 years. THC content was about 4% in the 1990s but nearly quadrupled to 15% by 2018, and modern dispensary strains regularly sit at 20-30%. Concentrates go up to 95%.
Quitting for about 11 weeks (one full cycle of sperm production) reverses some of the DNA changes. Not all of them. Duke's lead researcher says men should stop at least 6 months before trying for a baby. Half of your kid's genetic blueprint comes from you, and right now, THC is editing that blueprint before conception even happens.
Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D.@hubermanlab
Cannabis is detrimental to sperm: even if they can fertilize, there can be DNA damage. Many miscarriages and (in the case of IVF) “day 3 crashes” which is when paternal DNA normally kicks in, are cannabis related. Dr Natalie Crawford on the Huberman Lab podcast out now.

@mamboitaliano__ That’s too bad (about losing #’s) I’m Catholic also but have a problem w/ the Pope meeting w/David Axelrod and then saying stuff about the Pres. I’m not happy with the back & forth in social media, but I get it at the same time. Trump is who he is…warts and all. 🤷♀️
