Google AI has these spiffy new IPL ads featuring Ishan Khatter and Sara Arjun, and in the fourth ad in the series, she asks Google AI if Vastu could help her boyfriend's team win. And following the AI's instructions she tries to change the Vastu in his living room. For a moment, let me assume that Vastu has some methodology behind it which still cannot be rationally proven and so it makes sense to use Vastu. But answer me this, even if you are a believer, do you think re-arranging your living room will change the luck or fortunes of your team, whose dressing room is probably not anywhere close to your place.. And in that case, why is a brand built on the most rigorous science is promoting this? Is it to encourage early adoption from the wildly popular and lucrative astrology and predictions market? In which case it goes against every principle on which this amazing company was built.

Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect. Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself. As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent.
