There is NOT 1 owner, trainer or gambler that is for a tapeta ONLY winter racing at Belmont. We all wanted BOTH a dirt surface and a tapeta surface. We were asked, polled and not listened too. Repole Stable will NOT be running any horses for the winter meet of 2026. I’m positive many other owners and trainers will do the same.

If you could improve or fix two things in racing….. One at the Racetrack And One in Breeding/Sales What would they be??? 🤔 Real answers only. @RepoleStable Implement a database that starts at day 1. It covers all entities in transactions/raising/training/aftercare & it helps our marketability about knowing what’s happening to the horse at any point.

@RepoleStable Serious consequences for PEDs those horses off spring banned at sales. Make owners accountable too no triple crown or B cup races etc Make track management accountable too for “lack of institutional control”. If trainers are doping at their track they can’t keep their job.

@RepoleStable Increase the purses on the low end. It’s almost impossible to survive racing at allow/claim levels It’ll encourage new owners and keep smaller guys in biz , grow the game n increase field size. It’s cost almost the same $ to train a claimer as a stakes horses

I hope Megan Rapinoe, Sue Bird, Becky Sauerbrunn & the handful of other women who supported this ridiculousness are happy. Those women - whom I’ve always admired - would never have been able to compete past junior high school if they had to compete against boys…and they know it. But obviously, they don’t care. They got their fame, they got their money — I guess that’s all that matters. Shame on them, and shame on our “leadership” in the White House who has erased 52 years of hard work by so many. Sad day in sports. Sad day in America.

@RepoleStable How about vet treatments avaible to the wagering public on line . All professional sports have injury reports etc. and that was BEFORE wagering was “legal”. Really help the claiming game too. Horse racing has an integrity problem this is a good start

The sport is broken. Under its current leadership and the way the sports major associations, and organizations are currently operating the sport is unfixable. Disruption was not my first option. In order to cut through the bullshit, the bureaucracy, the politics, the old guard, the blue bloods, I believe that disruption is the only option not only for moving the game forward but actual survival of this great sport. The vision, leadership and strategy must start from the top. We must find a way to change, improve and align The Jockey Club, The Breeders’ Cup, HISA, the NTRA and TOBA. These associations have lots of influence, resources and money. They should all have their headquarters in the same building in Lexington. I would empower Pat @PatCummingsNTA to lead this initiative and create a cohesive alliance. My goal is to work with these entities on a shared vision, enhance leadership, add new systems and processes and create alignment. Love it or hate it. 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

ATTENTION ENTIRE HORSE RACING INDUSTRY: I am calling for immediate action in the vision, the strategy of changing and evolving this great game we all LOVE. Either we’re an agent for change and evolution or we are on the side of stubborn, traditionalist self-inflicted demise of the sport. This beautiful sport is in dire need of a governing body and a national commissioner that will work with states, tracks, trainers, jockeys, farms, vets, auction companies, marketing / PR, current unproductive boards, track employees, the media, the bettor, the fans and most importantly the HORSES. This new governing body and national commission will work side by side with @HISA, whose most important and primary focus will be horse safety and integrity. Horse racing needs real leadership and oversight that will market, communicate, educate the industry and increase transparency. Please read the below article. Retweet if you’re in favor of change and evolution. If you’re not in favor, continue to do what the game has done the last 50 years and ignore the obvious issues of this wonderful sport. Decide if you want to be a productive agent of change. If you agree thank you. And if you don’t like change, evolution and real leadership, then you’re part of the problem. I’m calling for transparency but without a strong vision and marketing plan, communication, alignment and education, transparency doesn’t work. Let’s have a great and amazing Belmont Stakes Day.
