@GCAJoeA You are right, the 250s are hot, jump off the face. I don’t love the feel, but they’re forgiving and for a 4/5 exactly what I need. I went from X100’s into the Nippon Modus120X. So much easier to launch I love them. Getting old sucks!

That’s great! I liked the 250’s but just couldn’t control the distances. They are hot! Shaft flex has been tough for me as I’m getting older and swing speed is down. So my rep talked to Titleist and recommended step softening an S shaft. So it’s now between an S and R flex. I love Nippon shafts. The new 950GH Neo’s are higher launch than the Modus that I’ve played for years.

Blade experiment over. Went back to my T250’s on my Florida trips and distance control was tough with them. Ball jumps especially out of the rough. So I ordered the T150’s with Nippon 950GH Neo S shafts step softened a bit. Love them. High launch and could work the ball easily.

A reminder casual golfers should be using 7-Woods and 9-Woods. If Tommy Fleetwood, one of the best ball strikers on earth, thinks the forgiveness of a 9-Wood is worth it…maybe we should ditch our 5 or 6 irons. My 7 wood is gold. Time to try the 9.

A friend of mine continued to push me for swing tips and putting advice on the course this weekend. Giving advice is a slippery slope. Best to wait for after the round. Advice is best digested when you tell a story in the first person. Prescriptive advice ("you should") puts the recepient on the defensive. Shared experience("I did it this way") allows them to take what they want from the story. Important nuance to help the swing tips etc resonate.
