February 3, 2026, is Missing Persons Awareness Day Many of the people reported missing every year run away from home & the majority of them are youth between the ages of 12 & 17. The Calgary Police Service works closely with the Missing Children Society of Canada @MCSCanada to reunite those young people with their families. 💻 The public can also help by subscribing to the MCSC progressive web application, which will send users alerts when a child goes missing in their area. 🤝 On Missing Persons Awareness day, let’s all play our part to ensure all children find their way home! 👩👧👦

When a loved one is missing, the grief can feel isolating and unresolved. This peer support group provides a caring environment for those navigating ambiguous loss, connection, and understanding.

AMBER Alerts are a call for YOUR help to bring a child home safely. An AMBER Alert means: ✔️ A child under 18 is believed abducted ✔️ The child is believed to be in danger of serious bodily harm or death ✔️ Enough details exist to believe that an alert will help in locating the child If you see or hear an AMBER Alert, watch for the child, suspect and/or vehicle described. Report tips or sightings immediately by calling 911. ⚠️ Calling 911 to complain about an AMBER Alert is public mischief and can lead to charges.
