〈Matador Records〉が Zoh Amba との契約を発表。 以下は発表時の声明文。 Zoh AmbaがMatador Recordsに加わったことを、大きな喜びとともにお知らせします。 Ambaは、情熱的なサックス奏者およびコンポーザーとして世界的に認められてきた。 Matadorでの活動は新たな道へと踏み出すもので、テネシー州キングスポートでの幼少期を深く根ざしたギタリスト兼ソングライターとしての姿を打ち出していく。 Ambaは4月17日、ニューヨーク・シティのNightclub 101にて現在のライブバンドをお披露目し、この夏はCourtney Barnettのサポートアクトとしてツアーに参加する。ブルックリンのThe Owlで収録されたライブ映像2曲も公開中。 It is with great excitement that we announce that Zoh Amba has joined the Matador Records roster. Amba has become recognized world-wide for their work as a fiery saxophonist and composer. Their work on Matador will follow a new path, that of an emerging guitarist and songwriter with music that draws deeply on their childhood in Kingsport, Tennessee. Amba will debut their current live band at New York City’s Nightclub 101 on April 17 and will tour this summer supporting Courtney Barnett.
