Saw the first episode of the new GitS. Not sure if I like it.
Colors too bright, characters too cartoony. Both distracted me from the plot. Also, the animation flowed too smoothly. And all of these I know are weird complaints to have, but I don't make them lightly. 1/6

i respect that the new one is aiming to look more like the manga and i think the trailers for it all looked great but it's not even the art style, everything about the 2026 show's direction is way worse

@penpen_iii the aesthetics of 80s/90s anime is unreal, everything now has massive eyes and really cartoonish features, it's why I adore angel egg/vampire D/Ninja Scroll/Berserk/fist of the north star/akira and the list goes on and on

Snoke was a dumb choice for a character.
They could have at least made him an actual giant, like he appears to be in the hologram.
That might have made him different enough to Palpatine to be worth it.
