The thug who robbed and led others in attacking Human Rights Lawyer @DougColtart today at the City Sports Centre in Harare is identified as LUCKMORE TINASHE GAPA. He is a @ZANUPF_Official Central Committee member and is in attached picture seen with @edmnangagwa’s wife Aucillia Mnangagwa. ZanuPf violence is one of the main reasons we cannot afford to be extended to 2030. CAB3 is the single most contemporary existential threat to the present and future of Zimbabwe and must be resisted by any means constitutionally necessary. This is exactly is why we must resist Agenda 2030 and are DEMANDING A REFERENDUM for the proposed constitutional amendments aimed to extend the term of office for elected officials! Join Constitution Defenders Forum via app.cdfzimbabwe.org to defend the constitution #NoToCAB3 #NoTo2030 #PeoplePower #ReferendumOrNothing

MARANDA CHIEFTAINCY The Maranda chieftainship in Mwenezi District (Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe) is the traditional authority of a branch of the VaPfumbi (also called Pfumbi or Bapfumbi) people, who have inhabited the area for centuries. The VaPfumbi are an ancient group with the Ngwenya (crocodile) totem and praise name Ruvimbi. They speak a Karanga dialect of Shona with Venda influences (sometimes called Chipfumbi), reflecting long-standing cultural and linguistic ties to both Shona and Venda communities. Historian Pathisa Nyathi traces their origins to Central Africa, where they arrived in what is now Zimbabwe more than 1,000 years ago—earlier than many Shona and Venda groups. Stronger incoming Shona groups later pushed them into peripheral, drier lowveld areas in the south and east. Ancestral Roots and the Role of Matibi The tribal ancestor is Matibi (also spelled Matibe, Matiba, or variants). He led the Pfumbi in the Maranda area of Mwenezi well before the Ndebele invasions under Mzilikazi in the 1830s. Matibi had several sons, whose lineages formed the basis of related chieftainships. The Pfumbi lived as a cohesive group in the Mwenezi lowveld (then part of a broader pre-colonial landscape) under this ancestral leadership. How the Maranda Chieftainship emerged during the early colonial period (between the 1890s European occupation and World War I), colonial administrators relocated parts of the tribe. Native Commissioner “Mapalala” (in Belingwe/Mberengwa) oversaw the movement of the two main houses—Machetu (or Macheto) and Mketi—across the Nuanetsi (Mwenezi) River into Mberengwa District. At that time, Macheto was the chief of the Bapfumbi in Maranda. Those relocated groups established chieftainships in Mberengwa under the hereditary name Mketi (with collateral succession alternating between the Machetu and Mketi houses). Those who remained behind in Mwenezi were led by Maranda, described as a junior son of Matibi. He became their chief, and the chieftainship took his name. This split explains why the Maranda chieftainship is specifically in Mwenezi (Masvingo Province) while related Pfumbi groups exist under Mketi in Mberengwa and the main Matibi/Matibe chieftainship in Beitbridge District (where unique succession rituals, such as swallowing a sacred Ngwedi stone linked to the crocodile totem, are practiced). The Maranda area (locally known as “No. 1,” a small business centre on the northern edge of Mwenezi District) remains the heartland of this branch, with Vapfumbi communities there. Broader Context The Pfumbi assimilated into Karanga society over time while retaining distinct elements of their heritage. The Maranda chieftainship has persisted through pre-colonial, colonial, and post-independence eras as a recognised traditional leadership under Zimbabwe’s Traditional Leaders Act. It governs communal lands, resolves disputes, and oversees customary matters in the Mwenezi West area. Recent chiefs (such as the late Sainos Maranda) continued this long lineage. In summary, the history behind the Maranda chieftainship is one of ancient settlement by the VaPfumbi under Matibi, followed by a colonial-era division that left the junior Maranda line in Mwenezi as the enduring local authority. It reflects the resilience of pre-colonial African polities in southern Zimbabwe’s lowveld despite migrations, invasions, and colonial reorganisations.

@mdhara_Kuzz @NNyashaYessur He cant plead guilty when the gun hasn't been found and the victim is said to have 'forgotten' who shot him. Besides, a gun and attempted murder criminal record can affect his future international travel. So, I forsee a not guilty plea!

Fellow CITIZENS, I’m focused on the main show, finding a national solution to #CAB3, not distractions or sideshows. My leadership effort and focus is on our plans and a FRESH START path ahead. The die is cast. I say and act with integrity, purpose and in your best interests. Everything I do is grounded in accountability, responsibility, and the national interest. Ignore the sting operations and machinations meant to push a false narrative founded on malice and lies. God bless you.~Forever and always nc

I'm calling time on this guy! I think tataura! I also know that he's not an idiot! It's just that his ego and emotions get ahead of him, blinding him of the reality on the ground! Ane Demon rinombomusutsa, but chokwadi anochiziva hake. 1. He doesn't like ZANUPF! 2. He knows he doesn't have the people! 3. He knows for him to get back into public space, he has to reconcile with "You know who 🤭" At this point he's been misled by DIDDY Hope, who also misled Sikhala akabuda mujeri akutaura senge Mandela 🤣. So nhai bakithi, would you take him back if he apologises or Zvaendwa Poll
