Anthony Albanese was doing his best to promote diversity and quell the growing tide of support to One Nation by warning the Vietnamese community of the need to be "vigilant" of those who want to turn back the clock to "an Australia that is no longer who we are". There are many migrants who love Australia and are also questioning the impact of mass migration so Labor will be ramping up the fear campaign in these communities big time.

Without the fans…there would be no ticket sales, no television coverage, no sponsorship nor increased salaries. The day after losing 1-0 to Japan in a gallant, hard fought final of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup, the fans stood in the hot sun at Tumbalong Park waiting for an hour to cheer on their heroes and to let them know they support them no matter what. It’s a shame the players couldn’t share some of the same enthusiasm. It is completely understandable that losing sucks, but today was the day to say thanks to the fans. Vietnamese Australians have given so much to our country. Their impact is everywhere, from incredible food and thriving small businesses to such strong, vibrant communities. We’re a better country for it. And today was a chance to celebrate all of that with the community in Melbourne.
