@Riya47083478 @pannchoa @AashiZin I understand that but Disney, Netflix and Amazon are American companies that pour millions into SK. The reason K dramas are global and popular now is because of them. So yes the international community should have an opinion. A fictional show is not a documentary.
English

@MECadet1 @pannchoa @AashiZin That is a national issue not international and its between knets and k actors even I don't agree with most of the things knets does but still it's their country and even it is the responsibility of actors as well to represent their country correctly in national level
English

@Riya47083478 @pannchoa @AashiZin The consequences? Did they write the script? The production, director and writer apologized time to move on. Why trying to cancel the actors? Damaging their images and hard work, how is that fair? Us in the international community are watching this mess. Such a turn off.
English

@CitrocityB Yea I can differentiate fiction from facts. No one was watching PC for history lessons. What makes them look bad It’s the constant bullying of actors and Idols. I only know about SK through dramas. If I need a history lesson, I’ll hit the library. They’re goofy as hell
English

@Riya47083478 @pannchoa @AashiZin And where exactly did i tell them how to feel? They can express themselves but bullying actors into apologizing for something they are not responsible for is unreasonable and toxic. Also the show clearly said it was fictional.
English

@kataavana No it’s not. Stop saying stuff to get attention. Maybe it’s not your cup of tea, but a lot of us really enjoyed it. Stop trying to be critical and just enjoy the show once.
English

@Feyisparkles I hope this situation has open the eyes of international fans to the toxic culture of South Korea. What they portray in K dramas is fiction. SK is toxic and obsessive sometimes downright sickening over their celebrities. I’m glad the world get to see them for who they are.
English

@queenylateefah Us in the international community are watching this mess unfold and shaking our heads. At least we get to see how toxic knetz are in real time. It’s not the actors fault. This whole apology culture is pure shit. Sad part they have to apologize or lose their livelihood. Stupid

[INTERVIEW] "I only feel sorry for IU and Byeon Woo-seok who acted well, please give me a chance"… 'Perfect Crown' Director offers tearful and remorseful apology for alleged 'historical distortion'
Article by Sports Chosun Reporter Baek Ji-eun:
"I am sorry, and I am sorry again." Director Park Joon- hwa , who helmed the MBC Friday-Saturday drama ' 21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' , held a wrap-up interview on the 19th at an undisclosed location in Seoul. Normally, this should have been a gathering where they laughed and chatted, praising the show's success — which concluded with a personal best rating of 13.8% (Nielsen Korea, nationwide) — and the chemistry between IU and Byun Woo-seok. However, this time was different. Heavy sighs and repeated apologies of "I am sorry" filled the air, and ultimately, Director Park shed tears after blaming himself, saying, "I don't know why I did that..." The biggest reason was the controversy over historical distortion.
Ultimately, an unprecedented situation occurred in which lead actors IU and Byun Woo-seok issued an official apology. Prior to the interview, Director Park bowed his head and said, "I had hoped that viewers would find happiness and healing from watching this drama after filming ended, but I am sorry for creating a situation that is regrettable. I am sorry that I seem to have caused hardship rather than reward the actors who worked hard to create this drama together. The writer is also having a very hard time. I regret that we created this result and that we did not think it through more."
However, he clarified that the claims regarding the drama referencing the Japanese Imperial Family or China were not true. He explained that the work actually began with an affection for Joseon, stemming from the thought, "What if the dynasty had been maintained without heartbreaking histories like the Japanese colonial period or the Korean War?" He repeatedly bowed his head, admitting that although they paid attention to historical accuracy — such as consulting on art and costumes to realistically balance the genre clash between a fictional reality of a constitutional monarchy and a fantasy romance, and to express the beauty of Joseon — they should have verified everything more thoroughly.
Director Park also expressed his apologies to the actors. "I feel nothing but apologies toward the actors. They worked so hard, and I felt sorry that they ended up getting hurt by having to apologize for things they didn't need to," he said. "IU's acting gave our drama a lot of strength. Thanks to her efforts, situations that could have been a bit too intense were significantly softened. IU's performance was more three-dimensional than I had envisioned, so it was enjoyable on set. Byeon Woo-seok tried to convey sadness through his eyes. I hoped that such efforts would be recognized."
At the end of the interview, Director Park eventually shed tears. Seeing him pour out tears of deep sorrow that soaked his tissues, the reporters had no choice but to pause their questions for a moment. Director Park was unable to continue speaking, saying, "I am sorry for causing discomfort to those who watched it saying it was 'entertaining' and 'moving.'"
Director Park, having composed himself, apologized once again, saying, "To the viewers who loved and liked this drama, and to everyone who criticized it, I will strive with deeper thought and a cautious attitude to create a better drama—one where the actors can be happy. I want to say thank you and I am sorry. I hope there will be an opportunity in the future to adjust the moments that may have been uncomfortable for you. Although this is not something I can decide personally, I believe there will be various discussions internally. It is my fault."

@SuburbanDuchess @OwenShroyer1776 Shut up! Pregnancy is different from everyone. I worked full time until the day I gave birth. Never had morning sickness or felt uncomfortable. Y’all are just embarrassing at this point.

@OwenShroyer1776 No woman 9 months pregnant moves that way. And that belly is lumpy and Meg moves it around like a sack of jelly beans. Where is the uncomfortable mom-to-be? Because this woman has no clue what it feels like to be in labor or even induced.
Induced moms are nervous about the pain!
