Due to league-wide concussion protocols, the RFL have decided to stand James Batchelor down for a 12-day period in order to undertake the graduated concussion return-to-play protocol. James will continue to be monitored and supported by the club’s medical and performance staff throughout this process, with player welfare remaining the club’s highest priority.

Originally heard several weeks ago that John Cartwright might have been gone after the Leeds game. But then Hull FC pulled off a shock win over Leeds and followed it up by beating Catalans. But was told he was on thin ice at the club by a few people, and appeared to be only a matter of time before there was movement.

@johnnyddavidson Thin ice? What's he meant to do when his big players are constantly getting injured and spending months on the sidelines. Hes been let down by some poor recruitment choices and more importantly the lack of overhaul to the S&C department
