I’m sure most of us understand the types of stress that come with self-employment, and I just need a little bit of a break from it. I appreciate everyone who has sent work and referrals over the years. I’ll still be staying in the investigative field, just a different side of it.

Just wanted to throw out a quick update. Business got slow for a while, so I’m taking a temporary hiatus from self-employment, other than the occasional process service. I’ll soon be starting a full-time position doing some pretty unique skip tracing for another company.

@ThrdView @engineers_feed The wheels can’t spin at two times the speed because then the belt is not matching the speed of the wheels exactly. Taking the question literally, the plane can’t take off because the wheels and belt just accelerate infinitely. The experiment isn’t possible to do in reality.

@engineers_feed Got it wrong on first try. The wheels would just spin at 2x the speed. So if the ball bearings hold, no issue with takeoff. The mind trick is the picture, which shows something else than the text.

There’s a difference between planning on the platform, and admitting guilt on it after the fact.

COVER-UP: Discord initially claimed Charlie Kirk’s assassin never used the platform to plan or promote violence. Jud Hoffman, Discord’s VP of Trust & Safety, said they had “found no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord.” This morning, Kash Patel and Dan Bongino confirmed there was a Discord chat with 20+ members and new reporting just out reveals that Tyler Robinson, the assassin, sent a final message to the group admitting his guilt and stating he was turning himself in. This information came directly from Discord and was shared with law enforcement. The public demands accountability and transparency. Discord must be fully investigated for covering up and potentially attempting to destroying evidence in a criminal investigation. Discord must release every name in that chat immediately.

My phone broke. Completely shut off while I was in the middle of nowhere. I’ve been attacked at work by people and dogs and guns. My phone suddenly becoming a useless brick made me more worried than any of that stuff. My damn life is on it. Luckily most of it was recoverable.

Found the same printer I already have for $125. Not even gonna program the printer. I’m just gonna pull the $150 drum out of it and stick it into the printer I already have. Brand new printer gets thrown in the trash because somehow the drum is more expensive than the printer.

Why does a replacement drum for my printer cost $150 when the printer itself costs $170? Brother printers are still the best printers, but I don’t think there’s a single printer manufacturer that doesn’t try to fuck you in some way.

@Marathon_US_Rep Using it as an excuse makes sense. It’s a convenient way to reject an applicant based on “vibes” without needing to say it was a gut decision. Especially when I know people who failed polygraphs and got jobs anyways. There’s waivers for everything, including polygraphs.

@MGInvestigates "Ideally formulated questions" were stressed by Cleve Backster. That includes *never* using a compound question, which the Feds and other lousily trained examiners do. Also, sometimes, the polygraph is used as an excuse when a negative decision is based on something else.

There’s not many jobs where you will get held at gunpoint by a naked man in the middle of the afternoon, but I have one of those jobs. He took the time to get his gun, but not put on pants. I just knocked on the door. There was time. He wasn’t even the guy I was looking for.
