@fairwaygail I would agree that it's not "necessary," but if someone aspires to be an MLB umpire, my sense is that being a woman shouldn't be a disqualifying criterion.

@baseballhall @MLB She is not qualified. Where has she gone? They brought her up for a series then disappeared. She’s 48, wasn’t being considered for a full time job and now with ABS in effect MLB couldn’t put her back there because she’d miss 50 pitches a game.
