@Rita14432652 @johnpringdns @Dis_PPL_Protest I have now heard that many from the wards closed to MH patients to make way for Covid-19 patients have been moved to other MH hospitals and only some have been sent home. Don't know full details.

@johnpringdns @Dis_PPL_Protest I am hearing that one acute mental health unit has been closed to MH patients to make way for coronavirus patients and more are to follow. MH patients have been sent home from the ward.

@mary8kane @jillychapman @godlikemonolith Mary are these long term claimants people with disabilities? Maybe with chronic health conditions, even life limiting ones? People in mental distress who eventually take their own lives? Are you saying that disabled people have no dignity and don't contribute to society?

To those that spent their lives mocking & belittling others that thru no fault of their own were depending on benefits for survival; how does Benefit Street feel for YOU now? Perhaps u now realise that life can throw a curve ball at you at a moments notice. Not nice is it?

Am I the only one concerned over this list of disabled & older people that the government are giving to supermarkets? Aren't they a business so after all this is over won't they sell that list to insurance companies & banks? Not sure I'm a fan of the list at all tbh.

@erikacule @chessmartinez @molesteeth The deaths of disabled people due to political ideology in the UK in the past 10 years has remained under the radar for a lot of people. The idea that people should die in the interests of an economy that was never in their interests is also being pushed now with Covid19

@MHResist @chessmartinez @molesteeth It is a horrible reality that a word for benefit deaths becomes necessary. Crikey, I just Googled “democide” who knew that was a word? It does seem to me to be a reflection of the reality though.

The poor, disabled and elderly ARE expendable in our system because human worth is tied to one's ability to be 'economically productive'. Toby Young's view is a disgusting one but it's at the heart of the system which shapes most of our lives. It's just not often said out loud.

@erikacule @chessmartinez @molesteeth I understand all of this @erikacule but I feel none of the words you suggest conveys the reality of lives being snubbed out because someone, a Tory, say, believes that IQ justifies inequality. The death toll due to austerity is enormous.

@MHResist @chessmartinez @molesteeth There is little evidence of a genetic basis for character traits; anyone who believes IQ is a justification for inequality does not understand the limitations of IQ as a measure. TBH I think I might call it ablism, privilege, myopia, bigotry.

Michael is still poorly but continuing to improve. He has been able to eat today & will be getting a more comfortable oxygen mask soon. All good signs. He does know you've all been rooting for him with this lovely wave of support. Thanks again, Emma x @Underthecranes @J0e_R0sen

@AmateurFOI @AnitaBellows12 Looks as if the #FreedomOfInformationAct has in practice been suspended during #COVID19 crisis I've had several emails from #DWP and @ICOnews all suggesting (altho not stating explicitly) I should not expect anything further until the crisis is over.
