Building a culture is more about subtraction than addition. Must get rid of excuses, comfort zones, and negativity before you add anything. via Gary Curneen

With Championship Programs: Playing time is earned. It’s about practice, not politics. It’s about hard work, not handouts. It’s about ability, not agendas. It’s about standards, not spite. It’s about improvement, not influence. It’s about performance, not people pleasing.

Athletes: Don't waste energy on things you can't control. Focus on what you can control such as: getting better and making others (your teammates) around you better.

Mike Martin after winning Regional & going back to Omaha-blows a kiss to his wife & says “we are going back baby” then let’s his competitive “joy” be expressed. I pray that at that age I still have THAT KIND OF PASSION & will to win. The GAME rewarded #11 for loving the GAME!

Athletes: Learn how to control your emotions & body language. It's great to show passion but not at the cost of hurting your team. When I see a member of opposing team have weak body language or temper tantrum..I smile because it means "we got em!" & we're going to win.

The difference between really good teams & really good CHAMPIONSHIP teams: Championship teams: -Have the desire to compete harder in all facets of the game! -Will go all out the whole game for each other! -Take pride in doing the little things other teams don’t do! #BaseballTruth
