“Trump wants to get concessions at the negotiating table that he failed to get on the battlefield — and that simply is NOT going to happen.” Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi says the US underestimated Iran’s missile capabilities and its capacity to retaliate. “Trump is showing signs of desperation — he has gambled in this war and it failed.” Full interview on Sanchez Effect.

🇴🇲🇮🇷 BREAKING: Oman's Sultan receives Iran's Foreign Minister at Al Barakah Palace. Dialogue. Diplomacy. Mediation. The Gulf is talking to Tehran. Not Washington. Not London. Muscat is the bridge. This is what real diplomacy looks like. Quiet. Respectful. Effective. No sanctions. No threats. Just conversation. While the US bombs and Europe sanctions, Oman talks. The region is finding its own path. The empire is not invited.

🇲🇱🇷🇺 Rebels in Mali shot down a Russian mercenary helicopter and the crew didn't survive. Russia has been sending private soldiers across Africa to support local governments and expand its influence. Mali is one of the countries where they are most active. It is not going well for them. Source: Fighterbomber TG

🇲🇱 Azawad Liberation Front and JNIM (Group for the Support of Islam) hit Mali from every direction at once. Bourem, Kidal, Gao, and areas near Bamako, all targeted in a single coordinated push today against government military positions. Striking 4 fronts simultaneously takes serious logistical coordination, and Mali's army is already stretched thin after years of fighting with Russian Africa Corps support that's clearly not enough. The Sahel is slipping faster than anyone wants to admit.

🇲🇱 Mali’s government is losing its grip. Rebel groups (FLA) and Al-Qaeda-linked militants (JNIM) have teamed up to retake Kidal, a major northern city. They kicked out the Malian army and their Russian mercenaries (Africa Corps), even tearing down their flags. More shockingly, fighting has reached Kati, a military hub just 15 kilometres away from the capital city, Bamako. If Kati falls, the entire government could collapse. Source: BBC

🚨🇲🇱 TERRORIST ATTACK KILLS MALI'S PRESIDENCY SECRETARY-GENERAL He was reportedly killed when his convoy was ambushed near Kerela, around 140 km from the capital, Bamako. While it's not yet clear who carried out the attack, the prime suspects are groups linked to al-Qaeda and ISIS that have expanded operations in rural areas, while the government struggles to maintain control outside major cities. The attack comes as Mali remains deeply unstable, following a 2021 coup that brought a military junta to power and severed the country's ties with France and UN peacekeepers. Source: @clashreport

🇷🇺 Putin's approval rating just dropped to 65.6%, the lowest since the Ukraine invasion in 2022. Seventh straight week of decline. Per state-run polls. The driver is the digital cage closing around daily life. The Kremlin has blocked independent news, throttled WhatsApp and Telegram, criminalized VPNs, and imposed full mobile internet blackouts that sometimes last days. Bank apps don't work. Ride-share apps fail. Government services glitch. Russians in border regions can't even get real-time alerts about Ukrainian drone strikes hitting their own towns. Russians have tolerated five years of war, sanctions, and economic strain. What they're not tolerating is being cut off from the modern internet. Putin himself is famously analog. No smartphone. Paper briefings. He may be the last person in Russia who doesn't notice the apps don't work. Source: NPR

🇷🇺 The Kremlin says Putin "may or may not" show up to the G20 in Miami this December. But Russia will be represented either way. Trump invited him, saying his presence “would be helpful.” Putin hasn't attended a G20 in person since Japan in 2019. The ICC issued an arrest warrant for him in 2023, but since the U.S. isn't party to the ICC, Miami is technically safe. I say he goes. There’s no way he hasn’t seen Scarface 😂 Source: Reuters

It's Time to Change Our Approach Almost every day in April 2026, there was another drone attack on the Leningrad region. Ust-Lug was again targeted. Everyone has long understood that Ukrainian drones, if they are indeed Ukrainian, are flying in through Poland and the Baltics, bypassing our air defense system. This was obvious from the first strikes on airfields in the Pskov region in 2024. We weren't preparing for war against the Baltics, particularly Estonia. We tried to reason with them, warned them, and threatened them. Shoigu himself issued the latest warnings, and what happened? That same evening, there was another attack. It's clear that all these words are meaningless: the enemy is brazen and fearless, a mouse attacking a bear. But they're doing it anyway! According to all the laws of war, opening our airspace to military aircraft from one side for attacks on the other, without attempting to stop or shoot them down, means that Estonia is a direct participant in this conflict. And even worse, if, as I'm convinced, these drones were actually launched from Estonian territory itself. There's only one question left: who launched them? The Ukrainians or the Estonians themselves? Harsh words won't change anything. The lesson that should be demonstrated to Western jackals must be covered in blood, their blood. The lesson must be brutal and total. The UN should declare: "Any further drone attack will be interpreted as a declaration of war by Estonia." We don't have to wait and just let them try to capture our ships. Marines will be waiting on board, attack aircraft nearby, and a submarine. We'll wait until the Estonian pirates try to capture and destroy our ships and their crews. In the event of fire from coastal batteries, we'll hit them with missile fire so that not a single mouse survives. We'll let them know immediately that this was just a warning, and next time, Tallinn will become like Gaza. Let's remember that as a result of Soviet experiments in creating new countries and borders, Narva, the Russian Narva and its region, became part of Estonia. Estonians call the Russian population, which makes up about 40% of Estonia's total population, Soviet colonists. This, of course, is a typical Western lie. Narva itself, or rather the Narva Fortress, was founded in 1223 by the Danes, but on the site of the Russian city of Rugodev. The territory itself became Russian again in 1558, under the rule of Ivan the Terrible. This is a matter of indigenous Russian lands, where the Russian people are treated as outcasts. They've been without passports and citizenship for 35 years, without rights to their native land. Estonia, as part of the fascist NATO regime, is preparing for the expulsion and transportation of the Russian population to concentration camps. Maybe it's time to start acting before these Nazis start shedding innocent Russian blood?

SHOT reports that wealthy Russians are increasingly seeking to buy property in New Zealand, including homes with underground bunkers, amid rising geopolitical tensions. According to the outlet, inquiries to local real estate agents have tripled, with interest focused on cities like Auckland and Christchurch. Buyers are reportedly targeting land or new-build apartments, often adding reinforced shelters, due to restrictions on foreign ownership of existing homes.

🇺🇸🇨🇺 What a U.S. invasion of Cuba would actually look like... Cuba's military is 39,000 troops operating Soviet-era tanks, rusted artillery, and anti-aircraft systems that can't track modern stealth aircraft. The combat fleet is non-operational. The air defenses are outdated. Reinforced bunkers don't exist. Long-range missiles don't exist. Offensive drones don't exist. The country needs 100,000 barrels of oil a day to function. Russia's recent shipment of 730,000 barrels bought one week of relief against the U.S. oil blockade. The regime is held together by a structural suicide pact. A military-run conglomerate called GAESA controls 60% of Cuba's economy. The military guards the revolution. The civilian government shields the military. The business elite depends on the military running the economy. No faction can break away without collapsing the others. U.S. options on the table range from tightening the blockade to surgical decapitation strikes, all-out air and sea campaigns, or a full ground invasion with tens of thousands of troops. A ground invasion would likely produce dozens to hundreds of American casualties due to asymmetric resistance. The political succession plan is already being tested. Raul Castro's grandson, "Raulito," offered economic agreements to the Trump administration in April. Washington sees him as the potential bridge to a post-Castro Cuba. The island regime has refused every deal for 65 years. It may not get the chance to refuse another.

🇨🇺 🇺🇸 Cuba just publicly confirmed it's in direct talks with the United States... President Miguel Diaz-Canel broke the silence: Cuban officials have "in fact recently held conversations with representatives of the government of the United States" to seek a solution to bilateral differences. He invoked the Obama-Castro precedent directly, referencing the only other modern moment Cuba opened this door. This follows the secret U.S. delegation that landed in Havana days ago. Starlink on the table. Political prisoner releases demanded. Compensation for seized American property. And a blunt warning that the island's economy is in free fall. Cuba refused this deal for 65 years. Now the regime is publicly acknowledging the conversation. Media: @nextnews
