@ElvyraLei @Fiances_ It really is... I feel for you. It's not like that in the rest of the developed world. Cost of care wouldn't be a factor in deciding whether someone lives or dies here ( I'm in Ireland).

Boomers and Gen X.
Pretty similar in outlook and upbringing.
We went without. We worked hard. We were respectful of others and the elderly. We had a laugh. We weren't always offended. We're chatty and friendly.
So why do the generations after us hate us so much? 🤔

Boomers are very fond of being totally out-of-touch with reality,while lecturing others on what they should be doing with their lives.
Despite the fact they haven't a clue of what life is like for younger people, it's a different world

I still don't understand how I was ever able to get up at the crack of dawn, be at school by 7:30, study seven different subjects, speak a foreign language for a bit, get 45 minutes of exercise, play a musical instrument, deal with school drama, maybe play a sport, get home and study some more before I went to bed, and all of it without a single drop of coffee. Like seriously who was that person.

Because there is very clearly a policy to house immigrants (by hook or by crook) before housing Irish citizens who have lived here all their lives.

Racist attacks on Council homes must be condemned!
These homes are allocated according to rules set by local Councillors.
The problem is not the allocations policy.
The problem is that Govt is not funding Councils to deliver enough social homes.
