Five things I've learned over past two years: • There are far more lawyers who are really devoted fans of mid-major universities out west than I realized • Blaming conference commissioner's (and referring to them by first name only) is not just fun, but actually required • The Pac and MW both survive and both are still chasing the top of a college athletics structure that only pulled further away from them over the past two years. • Making really basic graphics with conference logos on Canva is easy • And finally, no matter what I post here, it will be viewed and responded to only through the filter of an oddly defensive community that followed this topic for two years and somehow got weirdly passionate about conference affiliation. Of all the topics I never thought I'd see so many people get so worked up about, and to see so many people plant their flag on becoming experts and I told you so posters about a topic so far removed from actual sports is really, really weird. Alas, we can all agree on #FireGrammer

@GolfDigest Sorry $250 million..... even at that, each tournament has a $30 million purse, expenditures for build out, staff, existing contracts to players, etc. How does $250 million save that and turn a profit?

Can't wait for all the posts and comments from people that have not seen the proposal to investors talking like they know when they actually don't know the particulars for which LIV Golf thinks 250MM is enough to save them. We won't do our analysis until we know the following details: 1. End of year projected revenue. 2. How many events end up being profitable in 2026. 3. How much cash will be left at end of year. 4. Are players contracts for 2027 going to be restructured. 5. Status of the team franchises sales. 6. Projected 2027 revenues and new prospects. 7. 2027 purses. 8. Amount of events in 2027. 9. How much % those investors will get in exchange of 250MM. 10. Are the players going to take equity in the league (apart from teams and similar to PGAT) in exchange of current contracts and renewals. 11. Is the PIF going to write-off the losses? And many other intricacies that anyone who hasn't seen the investor proposal doesn't know. So, anyone posting or commenting if 250MM is enough or not without knowledge of the above (at minimum), is simply guessing.

The players are more invested in LIV Golf than ever before since the PIF pulled out. This is their league now and they're taking full control of it. LIV is not dying, it's going through a metamorphosis ATM and it will come back a stronger tour with players who are committed.😎

What was he wrong about, PIF deciding to pull the LIV Golf plug or PGAT not making a deal with PIF/LIV when he wanted a deal done? As of February of 2025 the PGAT still wanted to take the $1.5B PIF investment in PGATE, they just told Yasir they wanted to close LIV and that's why Yasir shut them down. If Yasir would have accepted, they would have gotten $1.5B from PIF right then and there and the PIF new investment strategy would not have mattered since the money would have already been in the PGATE coffers. Now, if by some miracle LIV Golf finds new funding they would be the ones who have gotten rid of the fabricated Saudi stigma and that could be a problem for the PGAT. Too many people counting on LIV not getting funding, but what if they do? The goalposts will have to be moved drastically. Time will tell if he was right or wrong.
