We would see these patients in fellowship, admitted to the county general after 300mg of IM ketamine, and often intubated in the field. We always wanted to know if that was necessary (that is quite a bit of ketamine) but nobody ever knew who to even ask about it. #FOAm

@olsonplanner What accolades? Nobody gets accolades for a fellowship. As for academic pressure to go on, that's real, but it really depends on if the person loves what they're doing enough to sacrifice the extra income given up while working for a pittance as a fellow.

Kind of like how you shouldn’t go into medicine for the money, should physicians not go into fellowship for the potential accolades? Asking for a friend.
