Definitely worth a watch I think if you're a PE or Private Credit professional you should be leveraging Shortcut for deeper data cuts as opposed to just DCFs

Shortcut was just ranked the top Excel AI Agent by Wall Street Prep (over Claude, Copilot, etc.) Not surprised ofc. Shortcut was tested in direct comparison against top analysts, but Shortcut is really meant to be used as a tool. That's where we really outshine others.

It is absolutely fascinating to watch AI move at a rate where it is hard to just keep up with everything When ChatGPT originally came out, I remember asking it basic LBO math questions that a first year banking analyst would excel at The answers I got were underwhelming at best. Any form of automation or headcount impact at financial services firms seemed far away Now companies like Shortcut are literally showing you an AI completing first year analyst tasks in the span of minutes without any intervention Mind you, this is not just a demo of hand picked performance specs. This is a live showcase of AI literally saving you hours of time on mundane tasks I just don’t see how AI doesn’t massively increase productivity across every bank, private equity firm and hedge fund in the span of a few years, maybe even months The progress we have made is unbelievable

Another great @tryshortcutai use case - uploading an audit and creating a proforma In affordable housing, a property's bottom line is called surplus cash and it gets distributed to various stakeholders as outlined in the LPA, loan agreements and regulatory agreements. Here is an example of a complicated surplus cash waterfall (more that is cut off in this picture) that is time consuming to accurately model in Excel I uploaded the above description along with the property's financial audit into Shortcut and with three prompts, it created a proforma down to the distributions based on its reading of the waterfall.

Shortcut built a dashboard from a full GL (127 MB attachment) @tryshortcutai has the most accurate and broadest attachment analysis Copilot does not take attachments. Claude for Excel is at 30MB, most startups still can't take a single excel attachment Releasing v0.5.44 soon

@nicochristie Is there a good way to get shortcut to read GL details? Seem hard with just the size of ledgers? My ideal would be get PBC list from Big4 auditor, have shortcut examine GL, understand trx, use browser extension to pull supporting info from accounting system and emails.

Blown away by @tryshortcutai (AI plugin in Excel) Our Development team has to constantly fill out multiple and similar Excel workbooks with 10+ sheets (hundreds of cells) for government funding applications. The govt agencies often release new application templates during a funding round, which means our team has to spend hours manually copying pasting data from one Excel workbook to the new template. We've tried macros and other AI tools to streamline this but none worked because the sheets were protected. With one prompt in Shortcut, it accurately (95%+) copied over the data. Took 30 min working in the background but this is incredible. Great work @nicochristie
