I've talked to a handful of coaches and the consensus is that these LATE offers by D1s to kids who haven't had D1 offers up until now is that they are mostly out of NIL/Rev Share and their final scholarship or two are what PWOs used to be.

@tonywmiller No absolutes with anything but I started using the term “best practices” & just saying “Most of the players who are effective using this skill go about performing the skill in this general way”. “Best Practices” leaves room for discovery, outliers, & I sound less arrogant.

IF there is a problem in young player development, I think its due to kids spending more time practicing a determined move against a stationary object vs. time in live-action decision making situations. Theres benefit to both. But, I believe that kids simply don’t “play” enough.
