@matt_ambrogi i Hi! Did Strava shut down your app? I have a small app that syncs Strava to Google Sheets and was just about to add some AI features, but now I’m scared it’ll get shut down too.

I built ProofWall I sold ProofWall It wasn't a six-figure sale But it's my first exit And I sold it thanks to Trust MRR of @marclou in just a few days. Even though it had been on other platforms for a month I'm preparing a thread that will explain why it works better on Trust MRR.

Truthfully, you only need 30 to 60 minutes a day on X to grow. • 100+ comments • 3 to 5 value tweets • Reply to all comments • Post at least one story • Post one short form vid Obviously, the more time you spend the better, but all of that can be done in one session.

I don’t believe “there are already too many apps” is a real argument. I do believe “no clear audience” is.

Strava is clearly dominant, but it feels like a product many of us love and work around. What feels missing or frustrating? What data do you want but can’t easily get? What would make you consider switching? Asking as a runner who likes building things.

6 paying users isn’t a startup. But it is 6 runners who cared enough about their data to pay for it. That’s enough to know this solves a real problem.

Zapier worked fine for Strava → Sheets. Until I wanted all my data, not just the last 10 activities. That’s when StrideSync happened.

Posting on LinkedIn feels weirdly personal compared to X. Honestly… I’d rather just live here.

@marclou I just started tracking my shin pain. The last year I’ve been focusing on cadence, and it actually seems to help. Whenever I forget to keep the cadence up, the pain comes back a lot stronger.

I quit. I started running earlier this year and had the wrong posture (too low cadence at 160 steps per minutes). A slight pain started to kick in on my right knee in April, and it’s not going away. Fast runs or long runs make it worse. Doctors think I injured my meniscus. I’m doing an MRI in 2 weeks to confirm. Until then, I’ll run once or twice a week, very slowly. I’ll miss the daily early morning runs. They would set me up for the day and make me feel good instantly. I hate to quit and I feel dumb not having listened to the pain earlier. I’m going to double down on lifting to strengthen my legs until I get a proper medical report. Hopefully I can run like I used to in a few months 💪
Marc Lou@marclou

For the next 30 days I’ll run 5km as soon as I wake up. 1. Because I spend the rest of the day sitting 2. Because I want to test my discipline 3. Because stepping out of comfort zone is how I learn stuff

Looking at my shoe data today and… my race shoes are obviously the fastest. But the gap to my “slow” shoes is way too small. Might be a sign I’m running a bit too fast on the easy days.
