Bangai-O on the Dreamcast is the 1999 explosive masterpiece that fills the screen with hundreds of missiles. It's a unique game and you would have played nothing like it.

@yuzokoshiro @PrinceWatercres I can confirm! I played a much earlier version at Tokyo Game Show in 2024 on an actual Mega Drive and the stages in that demo already had the impressive graphical tricks and wizardry you see in the final release for PC and current consoles.

Quick update on the MD / GEN version of Earthion.
The final ROM is done, and we’re currently in verification. If everything passes, we move on to production.
Due to the current global situation affecting parts supply and shipping, timing could still be impacted, but we’re moving forward step by step.
We also hope the world finds more stability as soon as possible.
I’m hoping to share pre-order details before summer.

Your obscure retro game of the day is Dead Dance.☠️
Today in 1993, Jaleco released Dead Dance, jumping into the crowded fighting game arena on the Super Famicom. Featuring a plot and character design unapologetically inspired by Fist of the North Star, Dead Dance was localized on the SNES with the hilarious full title of "Hey Punk! Are You Tuff E Nuff?" on equally as ridiculous box art.

The Hieroglyphics "Third Eye" logo, now one of the most globally-recognizable symbols in all of Hip Hop, was created by MC, producer and Hiero Crew co-founder Del the Funkee Homosapien @DELHIERO in the early 1990s.
The symbol - Three Dots, Above a Line - turns out to also be the Mayan numeral for eight.

Sam's work had a huge impact on me growing up. The Maxx was my first glimpse into how comics could handle topics like trauma and depression. If you were able to catch the series on MTV or read the comic it probably changed the trajectory of your life and opened your eyes
