I am challenging any death penalty opponent — there are millions of them, allegedly — to step up to the plate right now and explain why this guy should not be executed. His guilt is established beyond any doubt whatsoever. His crime is utterly savage and heinous. Tell us why he doesn’t deserve to die. Go ahead.

BREAKING: Tanner Horner, the FedEx driver who kidnapped and murdered 7-year-old Athena Strand in Texas, has been sentenced to death.

@DarkoStateNews @MattWalshBlog “You picked the easiest possible case and demanded people defend the killer”. Kind of like when abortion advocates endlessly shout “what about rape and incest?!” and demand people sympathize with the mother rather than the innocent child she’s killing.

You picked the easiest possible case and demanded people defend the killer. Most would concede Horner “deserves” to die. But that isn't the question. The question is whether the state should be doing it. Over 200 people sentenced to death in this country have later been exonerated. Cameron Todd Willingham was almost certainly innocent and Texas executed him anyway. You can't build a system that only applies to the obvious cases. You get the whole system or none of it, and the whole system kills innocent people. That’s been proven, and there is no greater injustice. One last thing, since you're Catholic. Our own Church teaches the death penalty is inadmissible. Pope Francis put it in the Catechism. If you want to claim moral authority here, you're offside with Rome. We don't have to argue Horner deserves to live. We have to argue the state shouldn't be trusted to decide who dies. You of all people have faith in the state, here? No wonder you skipped that argument entirely.

@CerysSays Imagine thinking that your tweet reaching a thousand people (most of whom aren’t there in support) is either some sort of personal milestone or gotcha to others.

My first tweet ever to reach 1k! Thanks to all the people who cannot help themselves but be engaged at me for liking a movie, being trans, or both! I couldn’t have done it without your incessant need to engage with material you claim to hate

@wayze187 Just FYI, these are the studio vocals and he’s lip syncing. Not a criticism, but this is not a live performance of the vocal.

@govt_corrupt Whoever the current Republican in charge is, as always. They demonized Reagan, Bush 1, Bush 2, and Trump…the next guy will somehow be “even worse”. Same old game.

Oh my GOD. I had no idea this @studiotstella poster even existed, and now I’m obsessed with finding one. This is one of my favorite films, this poster is absolutely beautiful, and I need one for @thedigitalbits theater. If anyone has a line on where they might be available, “Run up the colors!” as Jack Aubrey might say. #MasterandCommander

@MAGAMAHACindy You know, instead of looking stupid (for various reasons) you could simply ask any AI this question. And it is ok to criticize Trump, or any politician and still support them. Not doing so kind of has North Korea / Russia vibes, don't you think?

I voted for President Trump three times, and I’d gladly do so again. That said, I have a sincere, question about something I’m genuinely trying to understand. If the U.S. is energy independent, why are gas prices spiking again? They are getting close to the highs we saw under Biden? I know tensions with Iran are playing a role right now, but I thought energy independence was supposed to shield us from these kinds of swings. Can someone explain what’s driving this? I’m not here to criticize Trump, just looking for a clear explanation. Thanks.

If your child is 14 or younger, participating in the protest might make it seem like the school is manipulating them. If your child is 14 or older, rest assured, Dad. That child understands the world better than you do and, with a pure heart, can clearly distinguish between “good” and “evil” without being swayed by personal gain or rights. So, if they’re 14 or older, please support them in skipping school this time to join the anti-Trump protest. Because children have purer hearts than you do.

Just so we are ALL CLEAR on what happened today... Educators and school administrators single-handedly CANCELLED SCHOOL for 700,000 North Carolina students... ...INCLUDING MY SON!!! To wave signs around in the street instead. The signs vary from: a) F**K ICE!!! b) Defeat Trump's Agenda c) Trump is a N*ZI d) ICE OUT!!! e) Protect trans kids f) Refuse fascism g) Stop bombing schools DO NOT TELL ME THIS WAS ABOUT KIDS. IT NEVER WAS. This was ADULTS using 700,000 children, INCLUDING MINE, as political leverage against a president they don't like. That is despicable. You know better... DO BETTER.

@BuckyDucky2 @MrBeast Sigh, yes, because that’s what people who disagree with you politically believe. But thanks for making a crystal clear case that the party of empathy and compassion is anything but due to their utter contempt and hatred for opposing viewpoints. Absolutely incredible self-own.

The problem is that this is not an honest poll. Nobody's really understanding what the question is asking, and very few people are really in tune with themselves enough to know what the answer would actually be. If you are pressing blue, you are saying that you're willing to risk your life for other people you do not know. This is really easy for anyone to say they would do, but very few people actually will. If you watched a little kid almost died because of something they intentionally did, it's really easy for you to go "yeah I'll go help him and risk my own life" because that's a kid. Now replace that kid with a maga hat wearing, overweight redneck, who believes trains people should die, gay people shouldn't have rights, who hates black people, and thinks women should be in the kitchen. If you saw that guy knowingly almost kill himself, would you really 100% honestly put yourself in harm's way to save him. I most certainly would not, and that is really the actual question being asked here. If you are voting blue and you have even a shred of doubt whether or not you would save that person, in a real word scenario I doubt you would actually vote blue.

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@camhigby @SimoneSyed The quandary is that SOME people ARE going to choose blue. If the test is private, you can’t coordinate with the world to ensure no one does. If there’s even a chance that my wife chooses blue and could die, I’d rather choose it, too, and die with her than live without her.

@SimoneSyed If everyone presses red, everyone lives. If anyone presses blue, the possibility of death is created. Why would anyone press the blue button? It does nothing but risk your life.
