Cancer rates skyrocketed when sun screens were introduced. A sensible level of exposure is very healthy. Hospitals used to have sun decks. All living things on earth depend on the sun. We are no different.

A lot of toy companies seem to be pivoting to adult fans to be able to raise the price of their products to an absurd degree.
However, this is no doubt profitable in the short term, a kid growing up today will not have any emotional attachment to LEGOs because his parents could never afford them growing up.
