#Plasticpollution is everywhere! Students associate pollution with plastic bags and bottles. Unfortunately, it's worse than that. #Microplastics are harmful to marine life and humans (Sharma & Chatterjee, 2017)!

@MKnight826 Absolutely! From my experiences as both a student and teacher, I am a huge advocate for any outdoor learning opportunities! Another reason why these ideas would be effective is that their place-based nature links strongly to the #8ways of Aboriginal learning.

@niamhformby How about personal projects for students to do at home? I remember an activity from primary school in which I measured and recorded the water usage of my household and tried to reduce it. Something similar to that perhaps 🤔

Goodman & Hooks (2016) state that family involvement and home and school partnerships are beneficial to student's development and learning. Sharing students' learning with the home via #technology is one approach. How else could positive school and home partnerships be formed?

@JaydenGodwin99 @MKnight826 @KHunter2001 I've seen these ones popping up BUT what about making it an activity? Making more age-appropriate video resources about SDG12? Using real-life, even own life, examples of how to achieve SDG12. A lot of prep is involved, but definitely achievable for our older students.

@Scott_Macey1 @KHunter2001 I agree. If we want to cut-back on our use of paper products, then going digital is a great idea. However, we also need to be conscious of of tech consumption. Otherwise we will go in circles. Critical thinking and careful planning is key.
