ON THE WAY OUT Steven Guilbeault says Canada has one of the worst CO2 emissions on the planet in an absolute basis. This year it’s going to be even worse. 11 years of FIGHTING climate change and we are the WORST Why did we all have to sacrifice then?

Insanely bullish for domestic Rare Earth and Critical Mineral companies. The U.S. simply does not have the mineral processing, refining, or magnet manufacturing capacity to support this level of defense production today. $MP $UAMY $UUUU $USAR $AREC $NB If weapons manufacturers are truly ramping output several-fold to replenish depleted stockpiles, it exposes a major structural problem: the supply chain behind those weapons is still heavily dependent on China. Precision munitions, missile guidance systems, radars, and electric motors all rely on rare earth magnets and specialized critical minerals that the U.S. largely does not process domestically. We’re entering a new level of urgency. Quadrupling weapons production isn’t just about factories assembling missiles… it means scaling the entire upstream mineral supply chain that feeds them. Without domestic processing, refining, and recycling capacity, the U.S. cannot sustain this level of defense manufacturing long-term. That’s exactly why the companies building those capabilities at home are becoming increasingly critical to national security.

BREAKING: President Trump says the largest US Defense companies have agreed to quadruple production of weaponry to reach "the highest levels of quantity." Trump says the US has a "virtually unlimited supply" of medium and upper medium grade munitions to use in Iran.

@RenaldyApreza @NikkeiAsia Ucore has the technology to process the REO with a much smaller footprint and more eco friendly method than what happens in China. Under the DOW in the USA Ucore has been slowly putting together the pieces and will soon be able to process and refine REO within this first quarter

@NikkeiAsia Australia doesn't want to process rare earths, so they're building a factory in Malaysia And residents around the factory protested about pollution It is hypocritical for the West & 🇯🇵 to criticize China for Monopoly when they themselves are unwilling to do it on their own soil.

Japan has cut its rare-earth dependence on China from around 90% to only about 60% in 15 years. The US faces a similarly long road to rebuilding its ability to refine and process such minerals. s.nikkei.com/4anYO43

BREAKING: Trump Administration Pitches Critical Minerals Price Floor to 50+ Allies $MP $UAMY $UUUU $AREC $NB $TMC The US has developed a critical minerals price floor system that it’s pitching to allies as the Trump administration and more than 50 countries look to reduce dependence on China for the resources that are deemed critical to national security. Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg said multiple US agencies have developed the system and are having conversations with allies and partners. It’s the latest update to progress being made by the US and its allies to ringfence Western companies from China’s pressure on those markets. We have had multiple agencies take a close look at this. They have developed a very, very sophisticated price floor system that we are having conversations with our allies and partners about,” Helberg said. “We are very excited about it because pricing is the key to unlocking private investment.” His comments come less than two weeks since the US hosted 55 nations at a critical minerals summit during which the Trump administration pitched price floors and a major role for private equity as part of a broad plan to reduce supply chain dependence on China. At the same time, there’s been very little detail made available to investors and other market participants around how the parties will formulate a pricing mechanism, how it would be implemented and when they may roll out the system. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Recent events surrounding Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro emphasize the importance that we expedite the development of pipelines to diversify our oil export markets, including a new Indigenous co-owned bitumen pipeline to BC’s northwest coast to reach Asian markets. Alberta’s government is continuing its work to submit an application to the major project office and expects the federal government to move forward with urgency. The work doesn’t stop there - Alberta supports building pipelines in all directions to get our product to market and we look forward to continuing to work with provincial and federal partners to advance these projects.
