Today my heart is hurting. Found out my grandmother is in the ICU and her illness is expected to be terminal. The worst part is I can't afford to fly out to see her, and if her illness progresses quickly I don't even know if I can go to her funeral. I feel lucky to live in a time where I can still communicate with her to some extent while she is still here.. but a phone conversation just isn't quite the same when you know what's to come. Healing thoughts and virtual hugs appreciated.
