The argument is for Baez. I think that's what people really mean. It's also true to a degree—if he can hit in AAA, he should be able to hit in MLB. The biggest factor in starting guys in AAA is to allow growth, more development, and playing time without the pressure of being removed from the lineup. Walker's getting that at the MLB level without the pressure of being removed for an extended period. He also only has one option left, and it's now or never, as you mentioned on the radio. But it's a slippery slope argument that can be applied to players like Baez, JJ or any dirtier top prospect who's close—if they're close and the team is rebuilding, major league staff it is.

The problem with this stance is that then you could say, why should any of their prospects play in the minors? Might as well be with the MLB staff to unlock their potential

This isn't some unknown entity - It's Pallante - we know the ceiling - great - we're also on a rebuilding team - We need to know other ceilings - I'd like to know Fitts ceiling Pallante could serve as a swing man and be a great arm in the pen as starters get stretched out for the season - he has value there He's not at all a core piece of this future - the ceiling is limited and anyone over the age of 26-27 needs to be valued as a trade chip not the future - Pallante included #stlcards

The decision to put Pallante back into this rotation on a rebuilding team - terrible decision. We know enough of what his ceiling is - I'd much prefer seeing Fitts out of the gate - As far as Pallante goes - his trade value as a SP is next to nothing - but out of the pen as a mid season bullpen arm trade - they could've actually built some value there. This feels like a MO move - I hate it and I'm very disappointed we're still doing funny shit like this. I'm so tired of ass pitchers with ZERO stuff and a track record to prove it - continuing to get opportunities after opportunities. I'd rather have Fitts - check that - I'd trust her give Thompson 12 starts to start the season over Pallante. So stupid. #stlcards

I'm a firm believer the power would've just came with Walker - If they didn't do anything at to his swing - and just let him play - I think it's different today. The swing was fine all though the minors - the power always came - skipped AAA and got 1 1/2 months at the big leagues (while having hit streaks and looking solid for the majority.) It's one of my favorite examples to use when I get into Marmol discussions on rather he's the right guy for the moment when it comes to this young rebuilding roster. Revisiting history here - Walker went to AAA because of Marmol and how he was filling out the lineup card - MO made the decision to send him down so he could play everyday - not get spot starts like the manager was giving him before that initial send down. MO didn't tell Oli how to make the lineup like so many people like to think- Oli made it - and made the choice to sit Walker more often then playing him - and MO decided to send him down and cited what needed to be worked on - and sure that's true but the root of it was Oli. So when people like to talk about how Walker was mismanaged by the cardinals and the cardinals front office - and those same people praise Oli and support him and claim he's the right guy for the job - It's kind of fucking maddening a little bit to me - because the true story is the Manager was limiting his playing time and Walker being a 20 year old kid in his rookie season needed to be playing everyday so the President sent him down due to the Manager not starting him everyday partly due to his defense - not even his grown ball rate - I hope Walker figures it out once he's on a new team - because even tho I love my team - they're idiots and I'd get satisfaction watching him be an all star somewhere else while Oli is here ruining another top prospect due to his over competitive ego.

Just tell the kid to go back to being himself - he's spending too much time in the lab - he's spending too much time much time even thinking about baseball. Give him a week off before the season and tell him to go home - see his parents - play some 2K and when you get back: Just walk into the cage - get into whatever stance feels like him - use whatever swing that got you here to this level - let all the shit you've compiled over the last few years and just walk into that box and be the same guy who walked into that box in AA. Forgot it all - because it's not or never - whatever made it work - ground ball or not - just revert and be you. You have until July 31st to show us it's working - after that - we're going to find you a new organization that may help you out further. But for now. - be you and let's see if it works.

Roman has to win at Wrestlemania - because then it brings the rivalry right back to Bronson Reed and Breakker when they get healthy. CM Punk gets the title and WM maint event again as the place holder. I also think Randy wins the title - and Kevin Owen's returns at Wrestlemania and Orton has Cody on his right - Owen's on his left at the ramp and boom Backlash is set - Randy Orton VS Kevin Owen's VS Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship. Or it's just KO and Randy and Cody takes time off Either way, The vision vs Roman will continue Randy vs Cody will either turn into a full rivalry or it will be dead after mania and enter Kevin Owens
