I have 2 small private pensions, I mean small, and they are BOTH entirely taxed at 20%.
To say I’m pissed off is an understatement! 😡
Robert HJ Marshall@roberthenryjohn
Pensioners are being 'fleeced' yet again. . . Unfreeze the 'tax free allowance' and update it to at least the minimum wage level. . .

A young boy in the UK refused to pray during a mandatory school trip to a mosque.
He stood silently with his hands in his pockets while the others bowed.
This small act of defiance has gone viral — and rightly so.
He is being called brave, and he is.
In many parts of Europe, children are now being taken to mosques as part of “diversity education,” often without parents being fully informed.
They are expected to participate in Islamic rituals, even if it goes against their own beliefs or their family’s values.
This is not tolerance.
This is cultural submission disguised as education.
We should be teaching children to think for themselves, not pressuring them to conform to a religion that is fundamentally incompatible with Western freedom and equality.
Japan must watch this closely.
We do not need to import these conflicts.
We must protect our own culture, our own values, and our children’s right to grow up without being forced to bow to foreign ideologies.

Makerfield is 10minutes drive from me. Please Makerfield.. why would you vote Labour? In the local elections Reform won hands down. Burnham would be no different to Starmer. Vote Reform 🗳️
Lozza@lbrewer190
Rob Kenyon for Makerfield out campaigning with supporters this morning. ☀️ not giving a toss about the uniparty smears and campaigns to discredit us.

🚨 The most dangerous agenda in the UK right now is barely being discussed on the evening news. The establishment is actively trying to bankrupt British farmers. Through insane "green" regulations, punishing inheritance taxes, and cheap foreign imports, they are forcing multi generational family farms to sell up. And who buys the land? Mega corporations and the state. Remember this rule: whoever controls the food, controls the people. Support British farmers before it is too late.

Jeremy Clarkson slams Labour: “Stop obsessing over benefits and start backing British farmers to cut food prices.”
In a blistering column, the Clarkson’s Farm star blasts Rachel Reeves’ plan for price caps on everyday essentials like bread, milk and eggs, calling the government “thick and arrogant”.
He warns the policy would force farmers to sell at a loss, revealing he’d lose £70,000 himself if he planted crops across just his 500 farmable acres.
Clarkson says the real answer is slashing the spiralling welfare bill instead of pandering to “scratchcard enthusiasts”, as Universal Credit claimants hit a record 8.3 million.
He argues affordable food on the shelves is the absolute fundamental priority, not more handouts.
Jezza is right isn't he?

A farmer dies in April 2026.
His son inherits the farm. The farm has been in the family since 1847.
The farm consists of: 300 acres of grazing pasture, a farmhouse built in 1892, a barn, a milking parlour, two tractors of varying ages, a Land Rover that runs about 70% of the time, and a herd of 180 Hereford-cross cattle.
On paper, the farm is worth approximately £3.2 million. This is because land near him has been bought recently by a London hedge fund looking for carbon credits, which has dragged the comparable value of every field within forty miles upward to a number nobody local can justify.
In cash, the farm produces a profit of about £28,000 a year in a good year. In a bad year it loses money. The son also works as a fencing contractor three days a week to keep the operation viable.
The inheritance tax bill on a £3.2 million estate, even at the reduced 20% rate, comes to approximately £140,000 after the increased threshold is applied. The son does not have £140,000. The son has never had £140,000. The son has £4,200 in his current account and an overdraft.
The son sells 60 acres to a developer to pay the tax. The developer puts solar panels on the 60 acres. The remaining herd cannot be sustained on the reduced land. The herd is sold. The barn becomes a holiday let.
A different family eats Brazilian beef this Christmas without knowing why the price went up.
The Treasury collects £140,000.
The land never produces British food again.

What do you think this lady would say about the current state of British politics if she were still alive?
